    Introduction

I started officially homeschooling my daughter the same year she was baptized at our church. At the time they had a terrific believer’s baptism class for children that verified children were fully understanding the concept of baptism. When she finished the class i wanted to go further. A search of denominationally appropriate curriculum for her age proved to be less than productive. Thus, My Baptist Faith Kids’ Style was born.

My Baptist Faith Kids’ Style began as a way to teach my daughter what it meant to be a Baptist Christian. It was important to me that she understood what made us distinctive from other Christians and from nonbelievers. It has grown into a full curriculum incorporating science, math, gross motor skills, art, music, and more. I hope you find this resource a great asset to your home school, children’s class, or children’s group. It is easily adaptable to small or large groups.

You will find five major sections in this book - Articles of Faith: Kids’ Style Version, a Sample Lesson Plan based on the first two Articles of Faith, the Activity Resource Bank, the Memory Challenge, and the Articles of Faith: National Baptist Version. These can be used as a foundation for developing your Christian education curriculum, workshops, or personalized interactive study sessions.

The Articles of Faith: Kids’ Style version lists the distinctive Baptist beliefs in a manner in which children can review and retain. It is important to note that this in no way suggests a doctrinal rewrite
