      Introduction

      Angel Altars: Creating Your Own Sacred Space has been written in close conjunction with my Angels and especially Archangel Gabriel, one of my main guides and spiritual teachers. My book features a combination of intuitive downloading (Angelic scripting), knowledge I have gained from the many courses I have studied over the years and my own research. This work also encompasses a close personal reflection of my own sacred practices that I have established over the past 20 years. These practices have assisted me to maintain my faith, while connecting me to the Divine and my Angels during both the beautiful and the difficult and trying times of my life.

      I welcome you on a journey of discovery that will assist you to connect with your Angels through the use of many different techniques and avenues. Together we will examine the basics of creating a personalised Divine Altar that will attract Angels into your life. You will learn how to establish the intent of your Altar, look at various themes, examine the use of symbolism and learn how to promote Angelic energy.

      Throughout the book are many Angel Altar photographs, along with corresponding explanations of the Altars that have been Angelically gifted to this blessed project. The Angels have specifically chosen these people to be Angelic instructors within the book and I thank them all from the bottom of my heart. Many contributors, like myself, have been trained by Dr Doreen Virtue as an Angel Intuitive or an Angel Therapy Practitioner. As they say, a picture tells a thousand words and these do exactly that. These pictures show many personalised Angel Altars that are exquisite, beautiful, varied, and creative. Most importantly, despite the form they take, all these Angel Altars are Divinely Inspired Sacred Spaces and therefore have a sacred energy associated with them. I am sure you will be left feeling blessed as you view them. With each picture I will give information about the symbolism used, so that you can take this knowledge into your own creative pursuits.

      This book has many resources within its frame- work for you to use. The final section of the book is titled Angelic Resources. This section has been written to provide you with simple yet detailed, easy- to- access information regarding Angels, Ascended Masters, colour therapy and crystal therapy designed to use on a daily basis. Finally, there is a special section titled Prayers of the Divine that will assist you to connect with heaven and channel divine grace to others. Writing this book has been a true blessing for me. It has also enabled me to collect many family treasures that now hold their place firmly in history. It is my pleasure to share these with you all. I pray that you will feel the love that the Angels and I have poured into this work.

      Guardian Angels

      Guardian Angels

      Guardian Angels are a pure and holy extension of the source of God. Their roles include acting as messengers for the Divine, the great protectors, the impartial psychologists, the benevolent nurturers and healers and the blessed comforters. Today people are becoming more aware of the Divine Angelic realm and are lovingly accepting the heavenly support, guidance and love that the Angels send down. Every single person has been gifted with a Guardian Angel, whether they are aware of this or not. The Guardian Angel is assigned to you at the time of your inception and will stay by your side during your entire life and at the time of your passing over into the heavenly kingdom. Your Guardian Angel knows everything about you and totally understands all the plans you have laid out for this present life- time’s journey. Your Guardian Angel is with you at all times. They assist you to keep your thoughts positive, they pray with you and deliver your prayers to God. They protect you in times of danger and continually offer you companionship, assistance and unconditional love.

      In addition to your Guardian Angel, you are assisted by many other Angels. Additional Angels will come to you when you require extra assistance with a specific area of your life, especially when you are worried, stressed or under pressure. They will also assist you to make the transitions in your life; for example, when you commence a new job or start a new relationship.

      Angels often come to you in groups, so it is not uncommon for people to have many Angels with them at any given time. You are able to ask for as many Angels as you like; the more you request the assistance of your Angels, the more help the Angels can bestow upon you.

      Please don’t concern yourself if someone close to you is not a believer in Angels; they will still be surrounded by their own Guardian Angel and others. There is nothing wrong with asking that your loved ones are surrounded by Angelic love and protection, either. When my son leaves in his car I always say: Angels go before Geoffrey in love and protection! The recital of this short phrase is actually a prayer of protection.

      Communicating with your Angels

      One of the most common questions that I am asked is: How do I connect with my Angels? There are several ways to connect with your Angels and you may choose to use all the avenues I discuss or only those that you feel resonate comfortably with you.

      Informal communication:

      An Angelic Chat

      There are several ways to connect with your Angels using avenues of communication. Firstly, having an informal conversation or, as I like to call it, an Angelic chat. Just like talking with your best friend, you can speak to your Angels either out loud or you may be more comfortable to sit quietly and have an inner dialogue. Ask them for the specific assistance you require. Tell them about your life, the situations that are worrying you, and then conclude on a positive note by remembering all the things for which you are grateful. The Angels love it when you make contact with them; no request is too small. Always thank them for being with you and for supporting you during the good and not-so-good times.

      Formal communication:

      Written Angel Letter

      The same informal Angelic chat can be constructed formally as a written letter to your Angels. Writing letters is an important creative task that seems to be slipping away from us with the modern technological era. Handwriting a letter encompasses a personal touch associated with significant love and effort. Putting pen (preferably an Angel pen) to paper (preferably beautiful note paper) is a way to examine, prioritise and evaluate a situation that is playing out in your life.

      Scripting your emotions and deep feelings about a subject; I believe, is an energetic form of release. Doing so also delivers a sense of clarity and realignment that can be healing for the author on many levels. Handing the letter over to the Angels is a positive way to deal with any situation. It’s, like saying "Angels, take this load from me and deal with it in a way that
