AUTHOR INFORMATION
Charley’s life has been diverse indeed from the eastern farm hills of Kansas; military service to college administration. He has an extensive background in education and management including Degrees in Business and Education. His career as a professional speaker and author began later in life and what he shares is a direct reflection of his experiences. Charley's stories range from the inspirational and humorous to the motivational with some personal commentary added to the mix.
Entrepreneurial stops along the way included real estate, construction and a livery service. He has appeared in locally filmed commercials and movies along with doing voice over commercials for radio shows.
All of these various events in his life have provided him with a wealth of experiences, a bit of wisdom and many lessons to draw on for his Thoughts, Quotes & Anecdotes. Those have all been put to good use in his chosen endeavor as a professional entertainer, author and part-time cowboy. What he shares in an inspirational and humorous way is a direct reflection of those experiences with some personal commentary added to the mix.
He’s a lot like Will Rogers in his story telling as he strives to take a common sense approach with a dash of humor tossed in when talking and writing about those life journeys. Charley’s a Member of the Academy of Western Artist and confesses to being a
Professional Writer and Life Long Dreamer.
I am just an old country boy in a big town trying to get along. I have been eating pretty regular, and the reason I have been is because I have stayed an old country boy.

INTRODUCTION
The intent of this booklet is to take an insightful look through anecdotes interspersed with a bit of humor showing how our ‘Thinking & Doing" determines the "Outcomes & Results" in our lives.
The core values and principles necessary to achieve success, growth as well as rewards, are universally available to all of us. However, many of us may not have been exposed to, adopted or understood them until later in life, usually after stumbling a few times trying to build successful enterprises of our own.
One of the key reasons some of those endeavors failed is because we did not learn, embrace nor practiced certain principles and values early on in our lives. This may have occurred because of neglect of these important learning’s in the home, lack of a value based education program along with not integrating the mental discipline necessary to reach one’s goals in life.
Many very successful individuals made a difference in their lives, businesses and community by adhering to certain fundamental beliefs, principles and values. Although these people were not perfect, they steadfastly stuck by those universal beliefs throughout their lives even when times were filled with challenges and risk.
Achieving the success we all desire, strive for and deserve is too important to leave to chance, luck or flying by the Seat of Our Pants.
The following anecdotes, quotes and insights relate to the kind of events everyone in one way or another experiences as they journey through life; situations whose Outcomes and Results, positive or negative, are determined by our Thinking and Doing.
ATTITUDES AT ANY AGE
I don’t care who you are, you just can’t reach middle life without having done and said a whole lot of foolish things.
-Will Rogers
I had an experience awhile back that put this age thing into perspective for me now that I’ve obviously reached a certain stage in life. I was sitting in the waiting area of Pat’s Auto Repair shop in Shawnee reading a paper while waiting for a mechanic to finish working on my car.
I planned on going horseback riding later so I was wearing my Stetson, denim shirt, jeans and cowboy boots; a style that’s become quite a rarity in Kansas City, a former ‘Cow Town!’ It seems I always get glanced at by folks when they pass by or in public
