What others are saying about Silver Lining Golden Threads

    Volume II

As the world spins out of shape, as people lose their moral compass, as children and young people seek a hand to hold during hard times that they do not understand, Anna Miller's devotions are that message the world needs to hear. It is a message of God's love and forgiveness, of hope and help for broken and battered souls. Reading Anna's devotions help me realize that I am not alone in my walk, she opens my eyes to the fact that God walks in front of me to prepare the way. Using Chaplain Miller's devotions as my quite time starts the day with my heart tuned in to God and His awesome love for me. Ms Miller has a heart that God has touched and used many times to bring others to know Him. Anna's words are God inspired and I truly believe that God Himself puts the words in her heart and therefore onto paper.

Another wonderful grouping of spiritual observations of God's activities in our daily life. The Bible says Always be ready to give an answer to the hope that is in you. Well Chaplain Anna certainly does that with these devotions from her heart. Grab your tea or coffee and take time for yourself to listen to God through Anna's eyes. I'll bet you can't read just one!

    A WORD FROM THE AUTHOR

As I approach another birthday day I have come to realize that I would not want to be in any other time or place than the present. God and His history have always been my passion and now that He has chosen me to bring forth His word makes it even more exciting.

Exciting times indeed! The map of life and how we live it and our relationship with God is all shown to us in His holy word the Bible. God gives me His word in a simple easy to understand, life situations. We have made this into an easy to read and understand daily devotional in an E-book form.

Everything is in E-book form even in our libraries, so I am using this electronic age to move God's word out in the world. This devotional book does not take the place of your daily reading the Bible but will help serve as a guide and make it easy to understand.

    Angels are Watching

I was reading this morning and realized that when Paul was trying to excite Timothy so he could remember that the elect angels were constantly watching how he served the Savior and how he was living! (1Timothy 5:21) He said, I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus of the chosen angels, that you guard and keep (these rules) Now how would you feel if that was being said to you today? Would you want to live a more righteous life? He could just have said Careful, there are angels watching!

If the angels rejoice over one sinner who repents and turns their life toward Jesus Christ (Luke 15:10) then can we say that angels are numbered among the spectators in heavenly grandstands. I believe they are included among those who are referred to as so great a cloud of witness: (Hebrews 12:1) and they never miss any details of our daily walk. As we tell the gospel to our friends and family and as they are saved, they rejoice with us.

There was an old preacher who was working late in the night on his sermon for the next day as he was pastor of a very small church. His wife came in to see why he was up so late and ask why he was spending so much time when he knew there would be so few there. In answering this he said, You forget, just how large my audience will be! There is nothing trivial here if heaven looks on. We shall play for a better game if, seeing we are encompassed, remember who is in the grandstand!"

I want to remember that we may have some valleys filled with woes and tears, BUT we can lift up our eyes to see God and the angels, heavens spectators, who support us and help us according to God’s wisdom as they prepare to welcome us home, a job well done!

    (11) For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men. (12) Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lust, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present (age) - Titus 2:11-12 (KJV)

    Angels are Here

I know you can't see angels unless God has directed, you can’t see the Holy Spirit either but both are at work in our world, in us and around us every day to accomplish God’s will. We may not always know which one God is using, angel or Holy Spirit but we can know it’s God's hand at work. We can be sure that there will never be a contradiction or any competition between the Holy Spirit and God's angels. Know that God Himself is in control to accomplish His will. Now that's something we can shout about!

God uses angles to work out our destinies, to protect us, to help us. We have to be aware that angels keep in close contact with all that
