Chapter 1- What Is Biocentrism?
A lot of people are curious as to what Biocentrism
is. Biocentrism is a type of philosophy or ethical way of thinking. To put it simply, biocentrism is a way of thinking that puts inherent value on all living things. Some people may feel that this is a very common viewpoint. Very few people would argue with the value of life. However, biocentrism is the assertion that all living things have value; not just humans. In fact, biocentrism would dictate that the life of a plant or an animal would have just as much value as a human life.
A key component of biocentrism is an attempt to adjust how humans view themselves in relation to the world around them. There's no doubt that there are a lot of humans that
