About this ebook

Night World Volume 2 includes books four through six of the New York Times bestselling series by the author of The Vampire Diaries.

Vampires, werewolves, witches, shapeshifters -- they live among us without our knowledge. Night World is their secret society, a secret society with very strict rules. And falling in love breaks all the laws of the Night World.

In Dark Angel, Gillian is saved from drowning by her guardian angel. Only visible to Gillian, Angel will fulfill her heart's every desire. But when Angel starts making strange and sinister requests, Gillian must question who he truly is and where he came from.

Armed with a wooden stake, martial arts, and the will to resist a vampire's mind control, Rashel struggles to avenge her mother's death in The Chosen. Then she meets Quinn, her soulmate, who is part of the world she has vowed to destroy.

Hannah receives notes warning her of incredible danger in Soulmate. But if death is her destiny, is the Lord of the Night World's love strong enough to save her?

The three books in this volume were much better then the books in the previous volume. The plots have become less formulaic and while there is still the essential love story, there is more going on in each one. In these books the lines are being drawn for the coming battle between those who believe the Night World must work with humans in order to continue surviving and those that would remain separate regardless of consequences.

Becoming a Nightworld ReadaholicI have to say I was wondering how she was going to top the first book I read. This is always the most difficult feat of an author with an ongoing series. Well two thumbs up an giant hand wave and on to the next book in the series for me. I have read two L.J Smith books this week. They are a creative thrilling escape into this authors incredible imagination.

The best of the three NightWorld volumes. The heroines now match the fiesty female on the cover. I get the soulmate principle but being inlove shouldn't make these girls drop their IQ points so I'm glad that L.J. Smith managed to make her heroines in this book smarter than the previous ones.

This is three Night World stories in one. Dark Angel, The Chosen and Soulmate.Dark Angel caught me from almost the first minute. Though the title kinda gave some of the plot away. He calls himself Angel and saves Gillian from death in the snow, he helps her become more popular and get revenge on her enemies, but does he really have her best interests at heart? Interesting but I think the suspense was killed by the title. The Chosen, Rashel is a a vampire hunter since her brother and mother were killed by vampires. Quinn is a vampire bitter about humans, when they meet it changes their lives. This was possibly the best story of the three. Quinn and Rashel had to work out the whys and hows of their change of hearts, there was no easy out for them.Soulmate has Hannah dealing with her reincarnated soulmate and the jealous vampire who wants her dead, again.

There are three different stories in this book. I read the second story. It's called The Chosen. This story is about a girl named Rashel. she is a vampier hunter. She hunts down all vampires and kills them. She started this job becuase she saw her mother and best friend be killed by a vampier at age 5. She is one of the best vampier hunters there are. One night, her and a group of vampiers campure a vampier and have Rashel watch him while the others go after other vampiers. She ends up letting him go becuase she feels bad for him becuase she knows what they were going to do to him if he stays. After that they meet again. They eventualy fall in love. This is a great story that is full of romance and action. This book is a real page turner.

*****SPOILER****** This book is amazing! In Dark Angel I was shocked to find out that Gillian had a power and that Angel was trying to get inside of someone's body, and that that someone was David! In The Chosen Rashel I got annoyed at her for letting Quinn go, but it was the right thing. I guess she wanted to try and die that night. And in the end I felt creeped out for Rashel, only because her brother was with Quinn's "kind of father," who turned her brother into a vampire and killed her mother. The man also tried to kill Rashel, but she escaped. She was near the age of five and six at the time. I was extremely shocked at the ending. In Soulmate, I felt bad for Hannah becuase tons of people, escpecially Maya, tried to kill her. Thierry was kind of annoying, becasue when Hannah said to leave, he left her without caring if she had protection. I was extatic at the end when Hannah basically killed Maya! (Go Hannah!) Over all this book was shocking, adventorous, and incredible!

****SPOILER ALERT**** I can't review this one without giving some of the plot away so read at your own risk.I am reading these Nightworld books out of order because I seem to be addicted to L J Smith YA series and have to read them as soon as I get them in the mail. And as much as I like her books, I have my criticisms. Story One: Gillian. I wanted to smack her along side the head a few times. Not in violent way, just in a I'd-like-to-knock-some-sense-into- you kind of way. What a silly girl.Story Two: Rashel. Vampire hunter girl has soul-shattering experience with the wanker of a vampire who sold her into slavery. Uh huh, that's what I said. The vampire of her dreams knowingly sold her and 23 other preteen and teenage girls into bondage for a vampire bloodfeast - for filthy lucre. And then after their soul-merging vampire moment, she sees him in a different light. Now he's a Good Vampire. Where is Anita Blake when you need her? Maybe she could have shown that girl what you do to the monsters. And if that guy isn't monster-worthy, I don't know what is. And I actually liked that story better than the first one.Story three: Hannah. I liked this one a lot - except for the end - Let me just say as a woman who is far away from 16 that if your soulmate vamp offers you immortality, take him up on it. It's probably better than botox and certainly a lot cheaper.

I read the series in the wrong order, seeing as I read the THIRD book before the second one...But it doesn't really matter, since all of the stories are separate, and it's only the history of the Night World that's a bit confusing. Same as the third book, there are 3 stories in this book. The first story is about Gillian, who's a lost witch, who has a guardian "angel". The second story is about a Vampire hunter called Rashel, and the third story is about an Old Soul, named Hannah, who keeps reincarnating in search of her soul-mate, the lord of the vampires. This big idea in this book is similar to the third book, which is finding out something about yourself that you never knew about, and the people who seemed least possible to get together were soul-mates. Basically, they're 3 love stories with a bit of adventure and mystery. I definitely recommend this book to all who like somewhat sappy love stories.

I liked Dark Angel and Soulmates, but my favorite book was the Chosen. I loved Quinn and Rashel together. They were both really tough and dangerous, so they were prefect together. They are one of my favorite couples out of all of the books. Ive reread their book like 10 times already. I would definitly recommend it to anyone who likes the series.

in Dark Angel, this girl dies and comes back with an "angel". but Angel isnt really an angel, he's bad but he helps gillian become popular. and he tells her that she is a witch. Dark Angel was okay. its was kinda boring. i wouldnt read it again.in The Chosen, Rashel is a vampire hunter. quinn is a vampire. when she tries to kill him she cant. they fall in love. it was better than Dark Angel but wasnt very original.
