- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Der Urfaust beinhaltet, wie der Rückentext schon verspricht, erste Ideen, die zum späteren Faust (I) weiter verarbeitet wurden. Der Text an sich liest sich etwas wirr, da fragmentarisch, und es fehlt der Zusammenhalt zwischen den einzelnen Szenen. Fast wortgetreu findet man diese Szenen allerdings im Faust I wieder, wo natürlich allein schon vom Umfang her der Plot wesentlich koherenter ist. Die meisten bekannten Zitate finden sich aber auch schon hier im Urfaust wieder.Sprachlich fällt dieses Drama natürlich dadurch auf, dass es in Reimpaaren verfasst ist.Durch den geringen Umfang ist die Lektüre recht kurzweilig, jedoch, wie schon erwähnt, jedoch etwas verwirrend und verlangt ein wenig Aufmerksamkeit und Fantasie vom geneigten Leser.
