My Journey to a Better Bladder
Descrição
“My Journey to a Better Bladder” is intended for female readers who may be experiencing urinary discomfort. Ask yourself these questions about your urinary health:
* Do I go to the restroom to urinate more than once in any 4-hour time frame?
* Do I go to the restroom once or more during the night?
* Do I have recurring urinary infections?
* Do I take medicines for overactive bladder?
* Do I go to the restroom ‘just in case’?
* Do I occasionally or constantly leak urine?
If you answered ‘yes’ to any of the above questions, “My Journey to a Better Bladder” may offer some valuable insight into what you might be going through. Because my friend, I went through it, too.
“My Journey to a Better Bladder” is the very personal account of my struggle with prolapsed bladder accompanied by intensity, frequency, and incontinence all related to urinary urges. And how, without surgery or long-term medicine, I fixed it for good.
From initial symptoms to full recovery, my ordeal took approximately 28 weeks. From the beginning, I kept a daily account of my symptoms and their severity, as well as the remedies I tried. This account emerged into what has now become “My Journey to a Better Bladder”. I thought it worth sharing with other women who might be going through similar urinary discomfort.

Foreword
Dear Reader,
Before you select this e-book to read, you most likely want to know what My Journey to a Better Bladder
is all about.
My Journey to a Better Bladder
is the very personal account of my struggle with prolapsed bladder accompanied by intensity, frequency, and incontinence all related to urinary urges. And how, without surgery or long-term medicine, I fixed it for good.
Over the years, stopping at the restroom every few hours had become the norm for me. I did not realize this was a problem until I began experiencing frequent and intense urges to urinate. I tried over-the-counter bladder control and urinary relief products, but their effectiveness was short-lived. I sought medical attention from my primary care provider, who in turn, referred me to a specialist. The diagnosis was prolapsed bladder. Diagnosis determined, I steered over to the Internet to understand prolapsed bladder and its symptoms.
From initial symptoms to full recovery, my ordeal took approximately 28 weeks. From the beginning, I kept a daily account of my symptoms and their severity, as well as the remedies I tried and how I eventually managed it. This account emerged into what has now become My Journey to a Better Bladder
. I thought it worth sharing with other women who might be going through similar urinary discomfort.

Part 1: At a Standstill
Precursory Stressors
I am in general good health. I have chronic asthma that I manage by exercising, avoiding triggers, and taking vitamins. When I was in my early 20s, I had a urinary infection for which I was prescribed antibiotics. In my 30s, I took a prescription for overactive bladder for a few years. Ever since, trips to the restroom were about once or twice every few hours. Until recently, I did not consider that to be an issue. When I reached my 40s, though, overactive bladder became a great concern.
Throughout the year 2013, my husband and I faced significant inconvenience and stress because of his erratic work schedule. The company changed his work schedule several times, each one worse. His work shift started and stopped at different times every day. We no longer had the same days off and we no longer worked the same part of the day.
In the first week of September that year, a small fire in my office building released toxic fumes into the air. My exposure to the fumes was at most 10 minutes, but it triggered my asthma. For weeks after, I had constant shortness of breath and a persistent cough. I clung desperately to my rescue inhaler.
The physical stress from asthma joined forces with mental exhaustion brought on by my husband’s irregular hours. The strain on my body led to something I
