About this ebook
Have you ever felt LOST or had that sickening feeling and realization that your life is out of control? You are not alone! We wear masks trying to hide the shame of bad decisions made in the past. We long for something real which will bring meaning and purpose. The constant incriminating voice tells us, “You’re no good” “God can’t save you... look at what you have done”, keeps echoing as we visit one church after another where we see more people with more masks, but little help.
Once a Russian Czar disguised himself and mixed among the soldiers. One soldier, deep in debt, had made a list of all that he owed. His loaded revolver was beside him and in his deep anxiety, he had fallen asleep. At the end of the list, he had scribbled the words, “Who could pay so much?!” When he awoke, he was startled to see the official signature of “Alexander” and the seal of the Czar to answer his question.
Redeemed is about your sin debt, and God’s grace payment offered through Jesus. GRACE simply means GOD’S RICHES AT CHRIST’S EXPENSE. Because God loves you incredibly He made the first move, and paid it ALL.
The author wrote this book just for you, knowing that with a little help, a new beginning is waiting for you. My prayer is that God will bless you in your study of “Redeemed” as it guides you to a realization that Jesus has paid the debt you cannot pay, and offers you a life of freedom from sin, its power, and its ultimate punishment. God bless you in your study of “Redeemed”.

Redeemed and added to the body of Christ, May 31, 1959 at Southside Church of Christ, Beaumont, Texas. Graduated from Preston Road School of Preaching, Dallas, Texas, 1971. I ministered to congregations in Georgia, Saskatchewan, Canada, Indiana, Ukraine, and Florida. After the passing of my brother Robert Exum January 25,2016, my wife and I moved to begin work with the West Keene Church of CHrist in Keene, New Hampshire. I am a committed Christian, happily married to my wife Lauw Liang (Wiwik), from Indonesia. Together, we seek only to grow, and serve together in His grace, so freely given in Jesus. (Mailing address: 69 Blossom Street, Keene, NH., 03431.) Purpose and Philosophy statements: * To reach out to and encourage the body of Christ. Not only by publishing books by dad (Jack Exum), and eventually my own, but also dad's and my own studies on www.jackexum.com. I strive for BALANCE, avoiding EXTREMES, LEGALISM and LABELS which have contributed to division and sectarianism in the church. Growing in faith, hope, and love, unity of the Spirit in the bonds of peace, and being true to the Gospel of Christ, is 'where we stand.' My prayer is that we grow in grace, and learn to accept each other, being patient with those who question, or differ, while being 'Heaven bound' together. * To reach the lost. This is the mission of Jesus. Everyone deserves the privilege to hear about Jesus at least once. There is ONE God, and he loves you INCREDIBLY, There is ONE Savior, who gave His all that we might belong to Him forever, and ONE faith given to be shared in the power of His Spirit. There is ONE body to which all believers are added (Acts 2:38-47). That body has no official name in the New Testament but has several designations which describe relationship, with God, Christ, and each other. * To hold to restoration principles: 1. “No Creed but Christ.” (Written creeds, and traditions are not authoritative). 2. “Where the Scriptures speak, we speak; where the Scriptures are silent, we are silent.” 3. “In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty; in all things, love.” 4. “We are not the only Christians, but we are Christians only.” Allow the Lord to deal with the 'weeds.' * We understand what the Bible teaches about being saved. One "must be born of water and the Spirit" (John 3:3-5). For more on this read Acts 2. However, now everyone who obeys the gospel of grace will be found in a congregation with the 'acceptable name.' God knows all that are His. Whoever does what early Christians did to be saved, is my brother and sister in Christ. I let God do the judging, I have 'my plate full,' working on my own sinfulness, and growing in grace, while encouraging others to do the same. Grow in grace! Heaven bound!

Dedication
For Ed, Bob, Sharlene, Sandi, Tammy and myself (Jack Jr.) we do, with deep feeling and heartfelt love and gratitude, dedicate this book to our mom and dad. Mom passed away quietly at 5:15 am on June 13, 2010. Dad predeceased her on February 7, 2010, having served the Lord as minister to thousands through his Three Unusual Days
ministry. We miss their smiles, laughter, counsel, and example of patience and kindness.

To Mom and Dad, true examples of believers in Jesus.
Foreword
The cross of Christ is the greatest of all paradoxes. It was the most tragic even in the history of the world, yet the most wonderful thing that ever happened. It was the saddest spectacle man ever beheld, yet out of it came the greatest joy. The cross was Satan’s greatest victory and Christ’s most humiliating defeat, yet it was the most stunning defeat Satan ever suffered and the most glorious victory Christ ever won. Christ won by losing. He conquered by suffering.
The cross was the greatest exhibition of divine justice in condemning sin, yet was the most wonderful demonstration of divine mercy in pardoning the sinner. It was God’s greatest manifestation of hatred for sin, yet was his supreme proof of love for the sinner. The cross was the means by which God’s justice condemned sin and his mercy forgave it. The cross was the darkest hour in history, yet it was the time of greatest light. Though the sun ‘refused’ to shine, and God ‘hid’ his face from Christ, the cross was the means by which Christ really became the light of the world.
In the cross, we see Christ’s love for man. There we see human vengeance as they cried for his blood, yet we see divine forgiveness as Jesus prayer, Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do
(KJV).
The cross portrays man’s sinfulness and God’s holiness: human weakness and divine strength. It shows man’s ability to save himself, and God’s ability and power to do this for man. The cross, from the human standpoint, is foolishness, yet it is a revelation of the highest wisdom of God.
It is the cross of Christ that we proclaim in this book. That is all!
THIS IS A SOUL WINNING BOOK
From design to purpose, every word, each sentence and paragraph will point to salvation from sin and deliverance from Satan. If you are still in bondage to sin, this book is for you. You that have been set free from Satan will understand it better when you read this book. Use it as a soul winning ‘tool.’ Lead another to Christ, and then another and then another.
The Bible is not a simple book. It is a combination of 66 books;
