    It's Halloween, and harmless Kate is once again pursuing her hobby of etching the dead. It's a hobby that has consumed most of her adult life. She's not sure why she does it until she discovers an old New Hampshire cemetery. And it is there, deep in the cemetery that she comes across seven headstones, all in a circle. A round table of the dead if you will. And it is there that she discovers that the graves are of seven young women born of the same day as she and her friends, and all having died on the same day 300 years earlier. October 31 or Halloween. Somewhat startled by it, she quickly etches each one with plans of showing her girlfriends the incredible coincidence when they have their annual joint birthday celebration later that evening. But this is no ordinary birthday celebration, for her friends have something special planned that will take them 300 years into the past and into a very dark period where witchcraft and retribution awaits.

    All my stories are being released posthumously. Oh wait, I'm not dead - at least not yet. Been close a couple of times and perhaps that drives some of the subject matter I write about. Anyway, I have completed seventeen short stories - ten of which I've published at the time of this writing, and also a Novella. More to come. The novel on the other hand is the literary temple at which I worship. I've got quite a few of those too, which I will publish soon. They run the gamut from murder mysteries, ghost stories, quasi horror, love stories, haunting's, dark humor, and in many cases all of the above. Basically I write whatever shows up or I guess whatever's floating around my psyche. How it gets there and why I don't really know? And maybe that's the best part of all, the exploration. Starting with nothing and ending up with something. Any way, if you've read me, I am humbled and I am grateful. Thanks, C Belding
