    Samuel Fletcher whistled as he walked down the narrow tree-lined path to his favorite fishing spot. The old man wore a flannel shirt, long pants, a hat, and a jacket to ward off the crisp cool air. Behind him, he pulled his rickety wheeled cart that held all of his fishing gear. He was grateful that, at his advanced age, he still had the freedom to do as he pleased; and what pleased him most was fishing with the lures he made.

    He had been making lures since he was a boy, casting them into this very river for over seventy years. And today he was in an especially buoyant mood as he was eager to try out the new lure he had made yesterday. He felt certain it was his best design and would catch him the large bass that had eluded him. He was at least a ten pounder.
