    Book 1 firstly deals with the set up of a new windows 8 computer and how to properly set up your web browser.
    **We then switch to Windows 7 for the rest of the book because that is what most users have.**
    It then goes on to guide the user through getting a good free antivirus.
    Next, it deals with how to back up and keep all your user data safe and secure.
    It then guides the user on how to download, install and use some good **FREE**software to keep your computers free of malicious software, adware, spyware, viruses and so on.
    Then the book introduces a routine maintenance procedure so you can keep your computers safe, clean and running as fast and as smooth as possible.
    It also dedicates a chapter to some simple ways and examples of how to avoid getting your computer infected with spyware/ adware/ malware and malicious software.

    I spent 30 some years, working all over the world, building/testing/commissioning/quality controlling Microwave/Fiber/Satellite Communications Networks. Mostly long haul networks until the advent of cellular networks that use short link/light density mini-link urban systems. I worked in Saudi Arabia for 10 years then went free-lance contracting, working in USA, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, India and Brazil. A few years ago I tired of all the travel and turned my interest to the hardware/software repair of computers. Noticing how challenged a lot of people are with computer usage, I decided to write some self help books on the subject. There are three books planned. The Basic User, The Intermediate User and The Advanced User.
