Darlene’ story is one of struggle, hope, and triumph—struggle to understand why the abuse occurred, hope that things can be different, and triumph that through perseverance a new person can emerge.

She also co-hosted with nationally-known radio talk show host, Dick Farrel. Darlene is also a character actress and a member of the Screen Actors Guild. She has appeared in several television productions including a co-starring role in a FOX television series called "Super Force" and a small part in a movie made for USA Network television entitled "Red Wind."Darlene Deacon was born in Waltham, Massachusetts and grew up in beautiful Down East Maine.

      It's hard to pick a favorite part because it's all so sad and devastating. It was well written and and a book of pure courage and the will to survive.
