Brown bear is a story that has been around for ages but it is still a classic. The rhyme scheme of the story is very catching. It teaches color as well as animals. The book is uniquely illustated. I would recommend this book for children PreK-K.

This is a good book for younger audiences, maybe kindergarten. There are many animals and the author is asking them all what they see and they respond with the next animal - this makes it predictable.

Various animals in various colors. Simple, with beautiful illustrations by Eric Carle (of The Little Hungry Caterpillar) and great rhymes.

I really love this book. I read it to the toddlers I teach at my job. It is a great board book because it has repetition that the kids are able to learn and start rhyming as they listen and I read along. They are also able to guess what animal is coming up next based on the color hint the book gives before the next page. Kids are able to learn rhymes, and predict what happens next in the story.

I think the illustrations of this book are super good for early elementary-aged kids since they are simple yet really show the different types of animals.

Classic. I'd rather the surprise conclusion was more than a teacher, but her class was diverse and there was indeed a plot! Lots of colors and animals, very easy to follow.

Brown Bear Brown Bear is another great picture book which introduces animals using rhymes and a repetitive rhyming chorus. The book is targeted at ages 4-8 but I believe could be read, (or read to) children younger than 4. The book introduces a variety of animals of different colors in Carle’s imagery. I would highly recommended this book and definitely make space for it on my shelf, and even reccomnmend it to parents with children younger than age 4.

A brown bear tells what he sees. He sees a red bird looking at him. All the way from a brown bear to a group of children. All of the children describe the colors and the animals that they see.

This book uses colors, animals and people. The animals are different colors and are asked what they see. The way we see people can be different from others. This book would be better used for younger students.

This book is about what the animal is seeing. It identifies each animal with a color and then asks what do you see? It features a Brown Bear, Red Bird, Yellow Duck, Blue Horse, Green Frog, Purple Cat, White Dog, Black Sheep, a Goldfish, a Teacher or a Mother, and Students or Children.

Brow Bear Brown Bear What do you see was written by Bill Martin Jr. and illustrated by Eric Carle. It was published in 1996 by Henry Holt and Co. This book is about all different animals and does a good job pulling the reader in by asking questions. This book would be a great book to read to little ones because the reader can ask the child the questions and get the child to answer. This book even promotes language and cognitive development. Another great part of the book is the illustrations. The illustrations are by the well known illustrator Eric Carle and are fun and interesting to look at. They are the perfect touch for the book. When I read this book to the little girl I babysit she asked me to read it over and over again to her. Once I had read the book to her a few times she had basically memorized what each page said and started reading it to me. I think this says a lot about the book and how great it is. I strongly recommend reading this book.

This is a great book for younger students and I have enjoyed reading this book for many years. The main idea of this story is to show different animals and what they see. I liked the story because it can teach young students different colors and animals. The illustrations in the story are also very interesting and detailed, young children are engaged by the creative illustrations. The book's story line does not stray from naming animals and colors, the repetitious pattern keeps children of young ages engaged and wondering what is going to come next.

I liked the story because it can teach young students different colors and animals. I am also a huge fan of the illustrations in the story. Although the book's story line does not stray from naming animals and colors, the repetitious pattern keeps children of young ages engaged and wondering what is going to come next. All in all, this book is a timeless classic and a read that children will remember for years to come.

I like this book for a few reasons. The illustrations are consistent and visually appealing like Carle's other illustrations. The point of view is from many different animals. The writing is a little repetitive, but it is helpful for children to recognize sight words. The overall message of the book is that everyone meets and sees things in different ways.

I read this book to my two year olds at work and they love it. It has repetition in it which is a good literary element for the young ones to be introduced to. It is also great for predicting because you can have the students predict what will happen on the following page. It also teaches children about the different animals.

I liked this book for two reasons. Firstly, I enjoy the fact that the text is written in a way that it can be read or sung. It's very repetitive and this provides a nice flow and pace. Secondly, I really like the way that Eric Carle illustrates because the pictures are unique and truly enhance the story. I believe that the main idea is to teach children animal names and different colors.

This is a great book for younger students and I really enjoyed reading it. The main idea of this story is to show different animals and what they see. I liked the story because it can teach young students different colors and animals. I also loved the illustrations in the story. Each time there was a different animal for example, the brown bear and red fox there was a picture that showed the animal in great color and detail. The only thing I did not like about the story was there was no real plot, the book just kept talking about different animals and what they saw.

This book is simple, fun, and could be used as young learners are learning colors. The illustrations are big, bright, and cheerful.

This book is excellent for the youngest child to get involved in. My daughter is six months old and she loves this book. The book has a number of learning tools even though it is very simple. There is rhyming, colors, animals, as well as fine motor skills being utilized by opening each slide to see the picture of what is being described. The repetition in the book can also help new readers by seeing the same words over and over again while getting familiar with letters. On each page the author presents a color and an animal and then asks the question, "what do you see?" The next response is the next animal that will be shown. This form of repetition is a great way to present information to children. In a class setting this book could be used to ask children questions to reflect on the story. An example would be, "who did the brown bear see?" Children could take turns coming up and revealing the slide with the next animal behind it. It could also be used as a art project where the children can draw their own animal and then go around the class repeating their own book the way that it is written.

I really like this book, mostly for its amazing illustrations. It is a great book to learn colors and animals, while also enjoying a story. The writing is clear, and the plot flows really well. The illustrations are really what make this such a great story. The colors are so vibrant, especially the purple. This is a great book to get kids thinking about colors.

This book is a very fun and interactive book like most books that Eric Carle is involved in. The pictures are exciting and this book introduces different animals. The language in the book is repetitive which is excellent for emerging readers because it encourages them to read along and read out loud as a class.
