- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Summary: This book is a collection of poems about how kids may feel about school. From beginning to end it is filled many humorous poems about anything and everything having to do with school, from waking up to taking a test.Personal reaction: The poems were funny and not too long. They are written so well you would think a child wrote them because you begin to remember how you once felt that way no matter how long ago you were in school. The inside of the book is all in black and white which I liked because it didn't distract from the poems.Classroom Extension Ideas: This book would be a great introduction to a poetry lesson, the students can also take turns reading aloud because the poems are funny and not too long. This could also be used with a "feelings" lesson so that the students can learn how to express their feelings in a positive way.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This book would be very motivational to the reluctant poetry writers. This book is made up of funny poems about school and homework. This is a book that shows Kids that they would be able to express themselves freely in their poetry.
