About this ebook

Remember that it is not a prayer, because Jesus never prayed for the sick. It is a command, so firmly get it fixed in your mind to say, ‘In the name of Jesus, we command....And then speak to the part of the body that needs healing. When Jesus healed the sick man at the pool of Bethesda, He said, “Rise, take up your bed and walk” (John 5:8). In Matthew 12:13, Jesus commanded the man with the withered hand, “Stretch out your hand,” and when the man did, his hand was restored as whole as the other. Jesus’ disciples followed His example of making healing commands, as recorded in Acts 3:6 in the healing of the lame man: “Then Peter said, ‘Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give to you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.'” Verse 7 proclaims, “And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.” The Scriptures go on to report that the healed man began walking and leaping, and praising God! Notice also that when the people put their FAITH INTO ACTION - whether by stretching out their hand, or taking up their bed and walking, or rising up and walking - they were healed!

    JESUS' HEALING POWER MANIFESTING

And these signs shall follow them that believe, In My Name (Jesus' Name)..., they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Mark 16:17-18

Question: Are you serving your body or is your body serving you as a man or woman of God?

    BIBLICAL BASIS

ESSENCE OF HEALING: Jesus in the Scriptures did not pray for healing. Jesus healed by speaking (commanding) and laying hands on people; primarily in three specific ways:

Jesus spoke (gave commands) to peoples' bodies.

    (Ex. Matt. 9:27-29; 20:30-34; Mark 1:30-31; 1:40-44; 7:25-29; 7:32-37; 8:22-25;

    Luke 4:40-41; 5:18-26; 7:2-10; 8:43-48; 13:11-17; 14:1-6; 17:11-19; 22:50-52; John 5:2-16; 9:1-41)

Jesus spoke creative miracles, calling the things that be not as they were. (Rom. 4:17) (Ex. Matt. 8:28-32; 12:10-13; Mark 5:22-23, 35-43; Luke 7:11-15; John 11:1-44)

Jesus spoke (gave commands) to demons to loose peoples' bodies.

    (Ex. Matt. 8:16-17; 9:32-35: 12:22-23; Mark 5:1-13; 9:17-29; Luke 4:33-37; 13:11-17)

PURPOSES OF JESUS: I John 3:8 and John 10:10

To destroy the works of the devil (whose purpose is to steal, kill, and destroy).

To give life - more abundantly!

    PURPOSES OF BELIEVERS: John 14:12

    1. and 2. Would do the SAME and even GREATER works than Jesus.

    BELIEVERS' ANOINTING, AUTHORITY, AND MINISTRY:

    1. (Same as Jesus) Isaiah 61:1-3 and Luke 4:18

    Has Spirit of the Lord

    Anointed to: preach the Gospel,

    heal the broken-hearted,

    preach/proclaim deliverance, liberty to captives,

recovery of sight to the blind,

    set at liberty the bruised,

preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

    2. Luke 10:19 Jesus gave authority over ALL power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you!

    3. Matt. 10:1,8 Jesus gave power to heal ALL manner of sickness and disease. (8b - freely ye have received, freely give. Jesus has freely given the believer power to heal; not to be hesitant in giving out; but arise to every opportunity the Lord provides for laying hands on the sick; the Lord is looking for believers to stand in the gap and to impart His power into their situations!)

    4. Luke 24: 49, Acts 1:8, 2:4, 3:1-16 Power through the Holy Spirit.

    5. John 14: 13,14 Ask in Jesus' Name, He will do it.

    Matt. 17:20 & 21, 18:18,19 & 20, Mark 11:23 Promises to the believer:

    nothing impossible unto you

    binding and loosing

    agreement, touching

Jesus' presence, gathered in His Name

    have whatsoever believer saith

    6. Prov. 18:21: Power of life and death in your tongue! (See # 6
