About this ebook

Sure, it might not be completely unfair to call Michael Anderson a "control freak". It's helped him in business—he's the CEO of Anderson Enterprises, after all. But he's trying to learn to let loose just a tiny bit. Still, he's not quite sure why his therapist thinks dogsitting will fix anything? Especially since Michael and this particular canine share a kind of mutual loathing. To make matters worse, his new next door neighbor keeps disrupting his peace—and his dates—by blasting the worst possible music at the worst possible times.

Artist and free spirit Mia Argaropolis just landed the perfect gig to complement her career as an art therapist and her preference for living a nomadic life: housesitting in the Upper West Side. Too bad the guy next door is an arrogant stick in the mud with a penchant for calling security whenever she tries to drown out the noises coming from his side of the wall.

Suddenly, all in one day, Mia finds herself fighting for survival in unbearable situations. First, her dinner rolls go apocalyptic and try to take out the whole kitchen. Then her douchebag ex shows up out of the blue, her bathtub overflows, and she's attacked by a Shih Tzu with the personality of Godzilla. When Mia's uptight neighbor steps in as her unlikely hero and unplanned fiancé (wait, what?), she's not sure how much stranger this day could get.

Each book in the Anderson Brothers series is a standalone, full-length story that can be enjoyed out of order.

Marissa Clarke

Marissa Clarke is a multi award-winning, RITA® nominated author of romance for adults and teens. She lives on an island in the middle of a river. Seriously, she does. When not writing, she wrangles her rowdy pack of three teens, two Cairn Terriers, and one husband. Inexplicably, her favorite animal is the giant anteater and at one point, she had over 200 "pet" Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches. The roaches are a long story involving three science-crazed kids and a soft spot for rescue animals. The good news is, the "pet" roaches found a home... somewhere else. She also writes young adult novels as Mary Lindsey for Penguin USA. www.marylindsey.com.

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley/Entangled Publishing/Entangled: Lovestruck for an honest review. Michael is a very successful business man that is very organized. Michael is also concerned about appearances. Mia is the total opposite. She is an artist and appears to be a flighty unorganized person. Mia is house sitting for Michael's neighbor. They meet when Mia sets off the smoke alarm and nearly floods the apartment and now the fun begins. Michael and Mia's romance was sweet, touching, steamy, and a roller coaster ride at times. I loved Clancy! Clancy was the dog Michael was house sitting. This was a fun quick read.

Loved this book! It was a super fun read with interesting characters that made the story come to life. Free spirited Mia was perfect for the always serious business minded Michael. She brought a side of him to life with her snarky banter and quick wit. Michael was good for her too! Building confidence and a desire for a full life for herself is just what Mia needs.

This is one you will want on the must read list. I highly recommend it.

This is a light, fast paced, fun story. I enjoyed Ms. Clarke's writing style. The characters are written with humor and I loved the dog, Clancy. He was a nice addition to the story. The interactions between Michael and his brothers are funny and typical brother teasing. I really enjoyed the quirkiness of Mia and the Queen B's. This was my first book by Ms. Clarke. I will definitely go back and read the first book to learn more about the brothers. Very enjoyable read.ARC received from Entangled Publishing in exchange for an honest review.

Michael Anderson is one sexy “control freak” I wouldn't mind controlling me.The second installment of the Anderson Brothers series shows the story of Michael,a sexy CEO, and Mia, a free spirited artist. They are completely different, but yet almost the same. It's true what they say about opposites attract but I think the addition of the cute little doggy Clancy that brought these two together. This is a great read and I love the humor that comes from these two butting heads and fighting their feelings. The whole book flowed so well I couldn't put it down. Marissa Clarke is a great wordsmith and knows how to tell a compelling story that makes you want to go on the journey of the characters she creates. I'm telling you that this is a must read.

*I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*I was not ready for the fact that this book has me bait... But the truth is it seems like the author picked up practically all the ingredients I love the most in romances and mixed them up on this story. Let's see:- Romance between neighbours who start by detesting each other ✓- An alpha hero who admits when he was wrong and apologizes for it ✓- Fake engagement ✓- Meddling family ✓- A dreamy love proof ✓Seriously, to be the perfect book for me, all it would have needed was for it to have a cat instead of a dog!Michael Anderson is the older brother and he's been raised to be the heir of the empire. That's why, from a very young age, he's been very serious and focused on what needs to be done. And it's starting to take its toll on him... Michael is obsessed with control, lives for his work and is constantly conscious that every single thing he does is under public scrutiny, and that is beginning to make him feel down. His psychiatrist's diagnosis is that he is self-centered, single-minded and has rigid inclinations, and she prescribes as treatment that he takes care of her dog while she goes on vacation as a way to force him to brake his routine and make him more flexible.Michael trusts his psychiatrist, after all he's been consulting her since he was fourteen, and he's determined to give this treatment a chance, even if he finds ridiculous the idea of babysitting a dog with sparkles on the collar and a bow on the head. But the worst is having to deal with the woman taking care of his neighbour's apartment who is determined to make his life an even bigger hell, always blasting loud music...In truth, Mia Argaropolis doesn't play loud music just to annoy her neighbour. She does it to disguise the sex sounds coming from Michael's house every night (and here I must admit I had a hard time believing that a luxury building in New York would have such thin walls...). Mia couldn't be more different from Michael. She's an open spirited artist, always trying to see the good side of every situation, and she's relaxed, distracted and a little alienated. The way they meet, when Mia forgets she has food on the oven and the fire alarm goes off, is so much fun. And when she realises who the neighbour that shows up at her door to help is and explains to him the real reason for the loud music is hilarious.Eventually all the complaints that Michael had made of Mia to the condominium management gets her fired which makes her homeless. Michael feels guilty and makes her a proposition: she can live in his house until her next job babysitting another house begins and, in exchange, she takes care of the dog at night so that he can get any rest.Meanwhile Mia's idiot ex-boyfriend shows up because a common friend of theirs is getting married and he believes she shouldn't go to the wedding. Michael can't resist pretending to be her fiancé and states he'll go to the wedding as her date.At this point the attraction between them is palpable and having to spend a whole weekend pretending to be boyfriend and girlfriend, and sleeping at the same bedroom, makes it impossible to resist it. But the ex-boyfriend proves to be a jerk once again and the weekend doesn't end the way they expected...And it takes the hero to wallow in self-pity and for the brothers to make an intervention, for him to abandon control completely and decides to give her a proof of his love like the ones we see in the movies...I loved this book. Loved the story, the characters and the humor in the author's writing. The way they progressively change each other is subtle and brilliantly written and is so rewarding to accompany them on their journey of self-discovery and growth as they fall in love and get to a compromise that allows them to be happy with each other.I can't wait to find out what the author has in store for the younger Anderson brother, Chance, but I'll have to wait to find out...

Reviewed for Read Your Writes Book ReviewsEntangled’s Lovestruck imprint is all about finding love where you least expect it, with hilarious “meet-cutes”. For me, when I think of Lovestruck, I think of tons of laugh out loud moments. Neighbors with Benefits has that in spades. I seriously had a smile on my face the WHOLE time I was reading the book. To me, that’s just unheard of.Michael Anderson and Mia Argaropolis are two opposites who shouldn't want anything to do with each other, but burnt bread, an overflowed bathtub, an uncontrollable dog and a jerk of an ex bring these two together. Michael is all about control and order. He’s the CEO of Anderson Enterprises and his first day off in over a year is about to change his life forever. Mia is a free-spirit. She’s a talented artist who lives a nomadic life by housesitting for various people. She’s also a little flighty. This flightiness actually causes her to meet Michael. The two have this love-hate relationship with amazing chemistry and playful zingers.I found the second book in Marissa Clarke’s Anderson Brothers Series to be just fabulous. Michael is still a little of a mystery to me, since I don’t understand why he had to live such a structured life, but I loved watching Mia turn his world on its axis. I’m now rushing to read the first book, Sleeping with the Boss.**Personal Purchase**
