About the Author
Mark Stagi has been passionate about photography since catching the photo bug as a child. Mark got fully hooked in the darkroom while in high school when watching the magic of a print appear. In college, Mark continued his studies of Photography and Fine Art with a degree in the Arts and an emphasis on Photography. Right after college, Mark started his own wedding photography business focusing on Fine Art Wedding photography. Mark's wedding business all started with his passion to create fresh and fun wedding images that reflect each bride's unique day.
Growing up in the Silicon Valley, Mark has always had as much of a passion for technology as he has with the arts. As the photo industry started to move over into the digital world, Mark has been at the forefront of mastering the digital tools that photographers need to create art.
Mark's passion for photography has also led him to lead photography workshops and run a photography website http://www.digitalphotobuzz.com, where he shares his passion and love for photography with Shooting Tips, Online Tutorials, and other photography news and info.
Mark has written a few other mini books that are currently available as apps for the iPad, including Portrait Photography 101 – Learn to take better portraits, Wedding Photography – A guide to better wedding photos, Baby Photography, among others.
First off I would like to give thanks to God for giving me the passion to create, the direction to follow my dreams, and the artistic gifts he has given me. I am continually thankful and blessed to have breath each and every day.
This book would also not have been possible without my other half, my wonderful wife Lisa. She has always encouraged me to follow my dreams, provides continual support to our family, and allows me the time and focus to fulfill my purpose. She is my best friend, the best mother, and I am thankful for her huge support.
I also have to mention our two amazing children that bring a smile to my face each and every day. No matter how much busy work or things life throws at me, they keep me smiling.
About the Reviewer
Paul Kercal is a next generation digital graphics educator, a youth worker, a tablet and desktop artist, and a writer. For the past 15 years, he's worked firstly as the manager of a thriving youth arts center, and for the past decade, as a college arts teacher for a successful and thriving digital graphics course. He's written everything from teenage adventure fiction (the Dr Sylver series, Messenger) to art workbooks and how-to guides (Stylus t. Frog and the Weapons of Mass Construction being the most recent).
When creating artwork, he's extremely fond of Pixelmator (of course), Photoshop, Expression, and a whole host of tablet art apps including Brushes V2, Ideas, ArtRage, ProCreate, and more.
I'd like to thank everyone who have made this year so exciting in the digital and real world! It's never been a more exciting time to be a digital artist, so the makers and creators of the apps and programs that allow dreams to be drawn, thank you! Also to wifey, as I should offer thanks always.
