About this ebook
"Poems that tell stories,
stories about promises,
promises of love,
love that transformed into art,
art that manifested through poems,
poems that do not rhyme"
‘Poems that do not rhyme’ is a collection of poems written in the form of free verses. Although the individual poems seem unrelated at the first glance but the poems are arranged in such an order that they traverse through the journey of an alcoholic man who accidentally falls in love with a girl who was still in love with her ex-lover.
The poems revolve around his character, his love for her, his alcoholism, his hatred, his lamentations and his regrets for losing her.

Poems That Do Not Rhyme - Manish Pathania
ACT-II
INCEPTION OF ART IN ME
All works of art are nothing,
but a reminiscence of beauty in hindsight.
No poet looks at the rainbow
and conjures up a beautiful poem,
but when he goes home,
settles down in his study
and tries to remember the spectacle,
emotions get transformed into art.
A musician does not write his composition
sitting in the arms of his beloved,
but when he tries to find his muse
in the notes of a symphony,
a beautiful song is created.
Similar was the effect of her beauty,
when I saw her for the first time.
I had never understood art,
or perhaps love for that matter,
but I guess that was
the moment of inception
of art in me,
or perhaps love,
but aren’t both one and the same thing?
SHE WAS BEYOND WORDS
I looked at her photograph,
Boy! She was the epitome of delightfulness.
She was wearing
a sky blue frock
with white floral prints,
her straight hair
was rolling down her breasts,
and her big black beautiful eyes
were twinkling with happiness.
She was smiling
as much as her face allowed,
with the innocence
of a five year old girl
receiving guests on her birthday.
Her hands were outstretched,
inviting someone to embrace her,
perhaps me,
why not me?
I wish I was there with her
at that precise moment.
I would have embraced her
over and over again,
until her charm rubbed off on me.
All the words that came to my mind
were too trivial,
too limited
to describe her,
and I rejected them
as soon as they spawned in my head.
She was beyond words,
she was beyond poems,
she was beyond books,
she was beyond literature,
perhaps, she was beyond this world
to be manifested in art.
ARTISTICALLY IN LOVE
She was lazily dressed,
not shabbily but lazily.
It wasn't that
she didn't know how gorgeous she was
but perhaps she didn't want the world to know.
Then I remembered that she always dressed
