About this ebook

Africa is at the turning point of the thought-leader revolution. The 7 Humanomics lead the reader to a new hope for our future, for connecting with each other to form an unbreakable net of HOPE. Our personal stories need to be shared to bring about shared experiences: a sharing that will form a collective shield against forces intent on destroying our humanity. Collective consciousness is aided by giving of ourselves to reflect each other’s strengths, and is the only way to honour our heroes. Our reward is to harvest the bounty of giving, of sharing of ourselves.

From Africa comes this voice of HOPE, to lead us to a new way of thinking about our purpose in life.

#HelpHope - 7 Quantum Humanomics is a call to action, for all of us to think about the impact we currently have, and can have, to leave this world a better place for those who come after us. Each Quantum details the thought behind it to provoke the reader to view his purpose in a new light, and then to act upon that insight.
Quantum One: Power of personal story - Finding your true self and celebrating your own uniqueness.
Quantum Two: #HelpHope - How locking into each other’s hopes can create a powerful collective thinking to help HOPE achieve greater things than the individual can.
Quantum Three: Quantum Collective - How connecting with the dreams and hopes of our forebears can help us reach greater heights in our humanity.
Quantum Four: Pass it On - The act of Giving - Urges those with current skills and knowledge to pass them on to those younger or unable to understand their power.
Quantum Five: Echoing Each Other - By reflecting our individual hopes off each other, the spread of that pool of thinking will gather speed to eventually infiltrate every conscious thought process.
Quantum Six: Heroes Amongst Us - Learning from our heroes, those icons of deep thought who have gone before us, will show us the path to finding our true purpose and contribution to Helping Hope.
Quantum Seven: Harness to Harvest - Through giving in abundance, we can harvest in abundance from others in the collective thought of HOPE.

Allow yourself to be guided by this powerful process of self-discovery, and to Help Hope; to lead your life with the purpose you were born to fulfil.

    Inspiration

I have been inspired by texts from several religions and faiths, which include Islamic texts, Hindu texts, Buddhist texts etc. However, being of the Christian faith, my writing attempts to keep my context universal, allowing for all readers to enjoy my thinking and my book. As a voracious reader, I have been exposed to texts and books by several other inspiring writers, philosophers and thinkers, many of them amongst which are John Allen, Paolo Coello, Ronald Suresh Roberts, James Allen, Ngugi Wa Thiongo, Thabo Mbeki, Bernard Fonlon, Achille Mbembe, Chika Onyeani, Steve Biko, Xolile Mangcu, L. Ron Hubbard, Victor Frankl, Franz Fanon, Barack Obama (as an Author).

    Acknowledgements

I thank Africa from whose soil I feed the soul and the mind that think these words. I thank South Africa from whose plains I wrote my first book. This book is a result of so many people whose lives and leadership have affected my life and whose interactions have helped shape the man that I am becoming. Some of them whose names have been withheld by their request and to the ones I named here, I would like to express unreservedly my profound thanks and gratitude. All the names here are still, with all due respect, just a few of all those who have supported me through this incredible journey.

To my Personal Development Coach Derric Yuh Ndim for reading the initial manuscripts and giving his remarks. I would like to thank you for trusting that I could use your time for my book. I would like to thank all the anonymous readers from Kenya, Nigeria, Cameroon, France and the USA who read random chapters and gave feedback. Their remarks spurred me on. A special thank you to Moungong Delphine for her support and all the fine moments of thoughts and availability to discuss some straying musings. A big thank you to Simphiwe G. Khumalo who agreed to read my third draft that finally made it into your hands and for sending the whole book to several academics who read and gave feedback. These simple gestures again reinforce my humbleness. I am much humbled by the input from Prof. M. Kanyane who read some parts of the manuscripts and advised on what needed to be addressed. A special thank you to Portia Ntsaluba for reading parts of the first draft of my book and checking the typos on the final manuscripts, this means so much to me. Thank you to Vinesh Maharaj for reading and giving his testimonies. A special thank you to Louise Barnes who read the drafts and commented in detail. Che Peter Adoh spent a lot of time with me to go through chapters in detail and who gave fine and detailed remarks. Thank you for all your time. Thank you to those who sent in text messages of support and encouragement, although they could not get to writing a testimony or remark, they however, gave verbal feedback and commended on the work. To all of you, thank you again.

I would like to thank my family for their permanent support. Well, I’m stuck with them and they with me. In addition, many others who had also phoned to give encouragement since the cover was published on social media platforms. To all of you, a special thank you. Thank you to Dr. Melvin Ambele who took time to read and comment, carefully looking through all the work. This encourages me beyond my own reach, thank you. A special thank you to Mr. Fonane Harrison for his financial support towards this book. Thank you to Rabison Shumba who read from Zimbabwe and gave some deep testimonies. I am humbled with such generosity of kindness. Thank you to Marcel Adig who read the book from Essen Germany and to my colleagues at Tiptopstars.com who supported with kind words and encouragement.

A special thank you to my editor, Kristene Smuts, for her patience, advice and support throughout the process of getting this book finalised.

    What readers say

Solomon Atah has taken a heartfelt and impassioned position on how hope and collective consciousness can change the landscape globally through the collective good of which we can all contribute. It’s a mature view on Africa healing its wounds and dealing with her challenges while looking forward to leading world success through collective consciousness. An inspired vision, which can be realized through hope. - Vinesh Maharaj

This work is to me an inspiration. This book is a treasured source and shall be a resource to whoever lays his or her hands on it. - Che Peter Adoh

"The day you decide not to tell your own story is the very day you would have delegated that responsibility to others. The sad part is that other people may do a bad job at telling your story.’ This book gripped me to the core and challenged me in the manner I think and perceive issues of life, hope, personal branding and above all being a contributor to the lives of others, not just seeking my own comfort. The message in this book will cause you to take action with the goal of changing your life circumstances for the better. I challenge you to assimilate the principles and patterns contained in this great book. More importantly, let this be a life manual guiding you in your walk towards a fruitful, purposeful and fulfilled life. I recommend this book for you and those you care about or work with. - Rabison Shumba

In #HelpHope, Atah challenges us to a new way of thinking – to first challenge ourselves and what we’ve gotten used to accepting, and only then can we challenge the absurd status quo we have found ourselves in – a status quo in which the 1 percent own 99 percent of wealth in this beautiful planet we call earth. It’s a compelling reading, but one you won’t and cannot rush through.

    What this book is about

This book is about hope and about how hope has the potential power of moving us as a collective to our imagined destinies. First, we have to understand what hope is and how it is being used interchangeably with several other words such as God, Infinite Intelligence, help, opportunity etc., and deriving several other meanings along the way. It is also about collective thinking and how this leads or can be directed to achieve collective consciousness, which has in itself unimagined potential beyond our wildest dreams.

I choose to write about hope as an attempt to think of hope as that vehicle which will take us to the tipping point of our collective Nirvana. First, we need to have a very clear understanding of what we are hoping for and what we think we know, which generally forms the basis of personal understanding of our world, or our perception of that world. Once you think you have some ideas of your self-perception, then you will be on a great journey of discovery of the power of hope and how you as an individual can participate in collective hope.

Here too, I have argued and advanced a view that when we hope, we are activating certain actions from the universe. When we do this on a collective level, the raised consciousness takes on a bigger momentum – something greater than our own individual reach or understanding. As you read my words and my thoughts and views of what I think hoping can do for us, you will find that hope and thought when directed in a certain way really comes to work in our favour.

This book is also about an imagined possibility of a heightened collective consciousness. It advocates a society in Africa where all the people who are specifically keen on uplifting society as a whole, can do something about it together. The book also strengthens the point that this is the one thing we need in Africa to overcome many of our self-inflicted challenges of hate and of self-doubt which are at the core of some of our current circumstances of poverty, conflict and other ills that have hampered us from collectively forging ahead as a people.

In these pages you will also see how fiercely I have sought to assert unapologetically my view on my identity, heritage, culture, language and all which defines who I am or who I believe myself to be. These pages will reveal to you that I own my right to think and refused deliberately to let my thoughts be limited by any dogma. I have in my own words made serious claims and hope that these may be measured and contemplated with contemporary discourse and literature so that it could find its place in thought development. The book makes a good measure of how the limitless potential of thought can be harnessed for a cause greater than our individual realism.

To me, this book is a defining write-up of how I view the world. It is my own personal piecing of what I interrogate of my own horizons, thinking, perception and deeper questioning of self and my contribution to this life. I chose the theme of HOPE, which I believe becomes infinite intelligence, which can also take different forms or names as you explore it deeper. I also hope that through this writing that more from amongst us will see beyond the threshold of selfish individualism to reach points where only the collective good, yet championed by individuals for the sake of a shared good, will help move us forward. It is a simple kind of common good that has only one aim, which is to move our common humanity forward.

What this book is not about

This book is not a study of the work of Eugen Loebl’s work on Humanomics nor is it an article or an attempt to make an academic review on this towering piece of work or other several academics works that have been advanced on the topic
