About this ebook
What does it mean to hold to a progressive faith? Many people think they know. "Liberals," they say. People who don't take Jesus or the Bible seriously. People who will lead your kids astray.
But for many Christians, progressive faith is a great liberator. It has reconnected many with Jesus and revitalized their faith. For growing numbers of people, the possibility of another way, a different path, is the only thing that has kept them from abandoning Christianity altogether.
Progressive faith begins and ends with love. God is love, and we are called to love our neighbor and our enemy. This is not the abandonment of the Bible, or of Jesus, as some have claimed. Rather, it is a revitalization of the gospel, a new way of being human together.
Written for the curious as well as the convinced, God is Love lays out a positive vision for progressive faith, and grounds that vision in the nature of God and the character of Jesus.
