    Joseph Mark Brewer

    Joseph Mark Brewer was born in Hamilton, Ohio, in 1957. After studying music he enlisted in the navy as a journalist and served in the US, Europe, and Asia. He completed his degree in journalism at the University of Kansas and worked at publications in in the U.S. and overseas. He started writing fiction in his twenties, and has written for several short story anthologies. He is the author of the Shig Sato Mystery series and a collection of short stories, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, some of which are autobiographical.
