About this ebook
A police chief torn between his duty and searching for his missing wife, the twin sisters sold at the slave market, the survivors of a school bomb preparing to break out, the crippled veteran, the young doctor trying to save as many as she can....72 hours that will change their lives and the world forever.
It is set in England, in the old cotton belt, an area that has the highest proportion of Muslims outside the Middle East, they are also the most radical. This small area of England sends more jihadists to fight abroad than anywhere else in the world.
Now the battle has come home, and above it all an American drone watches a country in meltdown, knowing that they might be next....................
NOTE TO NON BRITISH READERS.
The BBC is not a commercial organization. There are no ad breaks in their programs nor any sponsorship or endorsements. It relies on something called THE TELEVISION LICENSE to support it. This is a tax levied on television sets. At the moment it is approximately $400 per year per set but rises annually, faster than the rate of inflation usually. The BBC requires over ten million dollars a day just to stay operational.
All homes usually have at least one TV set and if you have a TV you must pay THE TELEVISION LICENSE. Failure to do so will result in imprisonment and fines.
The license collectors have the right of entry to your home, forced if necessary. If you do not have a valid license they will ask the police accompanying them to arrest you immediately. Thousands of people a year are imprisoned and fined in the UK. Whether you watch the BBC or not is academic (and many people don't watch it) you still have to pay the license if you own a TV set.
The license collectors will mostly hit homes during the day. That is why twice as many women as men go to jail for this offense. The children are taken into care. The economic and social cost is staggering but the BBC is too big to challenge. It is the world's biggest media company.
The BBC policy is to employ whites only. Despite active and enriching Black and Asian involvement in Britian for over half a century there is not one single non white person in any junior, let alone senior management position.
No change is forecast for this system. The present Prime Minister (Cameron) is in favor of the "prison for programs" culture and is keen to extend the BBC's power and influence, especially its web operations where the forced collection of license money and the threat of imprisonment give it an unfair advantage in the competitive Internet market.
As the law predates computers, phones and tablets they are not covered by THE TELEVISION LICENSE so Cameron has proposed a tax on all buildings and premises that may house any receiver capable of watching a BBC broadcast.
