The love of a child's laughter inspired me to write children's books. With every passing day more and more wonderful visions of worlds yet to be created fill my head. After some time I decided to try my hand at adult fiction and short story writing. Though it is unique in its own way, short stories and horror could not fill the void and my word-crafting obsession is still children's books.

    About Two Wolf Taijiquan

    The Name

The name was taken from the Cherokee tale The Wolves Within it is as follows:

An old grandfather said to his grandson, who came to him with anger at a friend who had done him an injustice.

Let me tell you a story. I too at times have felt a great hate for those that have taken so much, with no sorrow for what they have done. But hate wears you down, and does not hurt your enemy. It is like taking poison and wishing your enemy would die. I have struggled with these feelings many times.

    He continued

"It is as if there are two wolves inside me. One is good and does no harm. He lives in harmony with all around him and does not take offense when no offense was intended. He will only fight when it is right to do so and in the right way. But the other one, ah!

He is full of anger. The littlest thing will set him into a fit of rage. He fights everyone, all the time, for no reason. He cannot think because his anger and hate is so great. It is helpless anger, for his anger will change nothing. Sometimes, It is hard to live with these two wolves inside me, for both of them try to dominate my spirit."

The boy looked intently into his grandfather’s eyes and asked

    Which one wins grandfather?

The grandfather smiled and quietly said

    The one you feed

    The Combination and the Origin:

Just like The Wolves Within, Two Wolf Taijiquan promotes mastering one’s self long before hurting others. Just as the tale says,

He will only fight when it is right to do so and in the right way.

So shall we. For this reason, the system consists mostly of joint locks, ward offs, and basic self- defense.

We will fight in the right way, we shall not completely destroy someone for the minor offense of a flying fist driven by anger alone.

During my travels overseas, I landed in the nice little town of Germiston in the Gauteng Province of South Africa. While there, a group of local children seen a minor display of my martial arts and asked for a lesson. Needing the exercise and practice and always willing to help out children I happily agreed.

I started with different basic techniques
