About this ebook

Set ten years after the events in The Fallen Angel: Repentance, Meredith Rogers is a woman with a destiny that would take her all the way, literally, to Hell and back. As she discovers her purpose, she also discovers that sometimes even the Devil doesn't know everything.
As a human, Matthew Michaelson struggles with life after being widowed, trying to reconcile relations with his stepdaughter and his son. As his angelic life is shed and a mortal one takes its place, will he succumb to the temptations of mankind or will he rise up and be the man God needed him to be?

I'm a native Arizonan and while growing up, I would often write down notes about stories germinating in my head. I was always interested in the fantasy genre, having been introduced to Anne McCaffrey's Riders of Pern book series (may she rest in peace) in elementary school. I devoured Piers Anthony, Raymond E. Feist, and later, Lord of the Rings. In trying my hand at mysteries, I've found they are fickle things, like a knot in yarn. Instead of cutting it, try to work it out and once unraveled, have a straight line of yarn again. I will some more books coming soon, so please enjoy the ones I have out now. Demon Chronicles Book 1 Demon Soul - Amber Douglas

    The Demon Chronicles

    Book 1: Demon Soul

The newest trilogy in the Fallen Angel series

    Prologue

Matt stared at Lucifer. The shocking proposal Lucifer had outlined seemed to go against everything he believed.

You want me to stand with you when you take over heaven? Are you insane?!

Lucifer, the Morning Star, smiled a cold smile, his brown eyes dark amber. "Those humans He created are nothing to us. And he expects us to bow before them? They should be bowing before us. We were created first. We should be the ones to either fan the flame of life or extinguish it. If you stand with me, brother, I will make sure you have a place at my right hand."

To how many angels have you said that line?

    Just you, brother.

Matt opened his mouth to say something when he spotted Leziel walking towards them. Lucifer, Matthew. Good I caught you.

What is it, brother? Matt asked, seeing Leziel’s forehead crease.

There’s word in the ranks. A child will be born in the future, part angel, part human, and part demon.

That’s impossible! Matt gasped. All Nephilim children have been evil. Are you saying this child will be evil as well? An innocent soul that’s not upon birth?

We must stop it from happening. Lucifer’s voice was firm. Nephilim children are an abomination and must be destroyed. Leziel, are you with us?

Leziel swallowed and sighed. I am, Lucifer. I am.

    Chapter 1

Meredith Rogers watched the scarlet liquid drip form her forearm. The dull knife she held in her right hand was splattered with it, the liquid pooling at the edge and dripping, steadily…

    Drip…drip…drip….

The man watching her sighed. Meredith, this has to stop.

No. Meredith whispered, using the knife to make another cut, fresh dark red blood pouring out into the sink.

The man sighed again. At least let me call someone. Let me help you.

Meredith turned around, her blue eyes meeting the man’s brown ones, seeing the pain and deep disappointment in his eyes. He was close to giving up on her.

    Just a little bit longer.

Who are you going to call, John? It’s done. It’s over.

    John closed
