About this ebook

This is part of a series of books in which particular verses are picked from books of the bible, and the issues of Spiritual Identity are explored, in the light of the mind of God for us.
In this book, we explore four topics, from different verses in the books of Matthew and Mark. They are: Christ’s authority; John the Baptist; Who is wonderful?; and The release.
Excerpts:
Christ’s authority
“ ‘Casting out of devil’ should not be what we pursue to show we are spiritual giants, it is what comes with the designation of being Christians, living by the reality that greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world (1John 4:4, 5:4). We are not supposed to fear the devil. We have been delivered from him, as part of the reality of our spiritual rebirth. The devil can harass others, but not us. We are above that and that is the way it is.”
John the Baptist
“John got disillusioned when things were not going according to his assumption, not knowing that God is greater than his assumption.”
Who is wonderful?
“Bowing to worship God is what sane people do, since he is the most high and everyone else is not. The moon does not have any separate claim to light (to being wonderful), except in rightly connecting to the sun. God is the self-shining one, dwelling in unapproachable light (1Timothy 6:15-16), and all we do is reflect who he is. Jesus is regarded as great light (Matthew 4:16), wonderful light, and as the sun of righteousness with healing in his wings (Malachi 4:2).”
The release
“In Christ our natural life was buried and spiritual life infused to us by the Holy Spirit (Galatians 2:20). We are released to live under by the energy of the Holy Spirit (from the deadness of the old life); we are released from death and destruction into the destiny that we are called into in Christ (Ephesians 2:10). We are released from aimless living to the unified purpose in Christ Jesus.”
