    Merciful.

    1

Praise be to God, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the Worlds; Most Gracious, Most Merciful; Master of the Day of Judgment. You do we worship, and Your aid we seek. Show us the straight way, The way of those on whom You have bestowed Your grace, those whose (portion) is not wrath. And who go not astray.

    (Quran 1:1-7)

    2

O mankind, Worship your Lord, Who created you and those who came before you, that you may become righteous – [He] who has made the earth a resting place for you, and the sky as a canopy, and sent down water (rain) from the sky and brought forth therewith fruits as a provision for you. Then do not set up rivals unto God (in worship) while you know (that He Alone has the right to be worshipped).

    (Quran 2:21-22)

    3

How can you reject faith in God seeing that you were without life, and He gave you life? Then He will cause you to die, and will again bring you to life; and again to Him will you return. It is He who has created for you all things that are on earth; then He turned to the heaven and made them into seven firmaments. And of all things He has perfect knowledge. Behold, your Lord said to the angels: I will create a vicegerent on earth. They said: Will You place therein one who will make mischief therein and shed blood, while we do celebrate Your praises and glorify Your holy (Name)? He said: I know what you know not.

    (Quran 2: 28-30)

    4

And fear a Day (of Judgement) when no soul will avail for another soul, nor will intercession be accepted from it, nor will compensation be taken from it, nor will they be helped.

    (Quran 2:48)

    5

And they say: None shall enter Paradise unless he be a Jew or a Christian Those are their (vain) desires. Say: Produce your proof if you are truthful." Nay, whoever submits his whole self to God and is a doer of good, he will get his reward with his Lord; on such shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

    (Quran 2: 111-112)

    6

Say: We believe in God, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to (all) Prophets from their Lord: we make no difference between one and another of them, and we submit to God.

    (Quran 2: 136)

    7

Then do remember Me I will remember you. Be grateful to Me, and reject not faith. O you who believe! Seek help with patient perseverance and prayer: for God is with those who patiently persevere.

    (Quran 2: 152-153)

    8

And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient.

    (Quran 2:155)

    9

Behold! In the creation of the heaven and the earth; in the alternation of the night and the day; in the sailing of the ships through the ocean for the profit of mankind; in the rain which God sends down from the skies, and the life which he gives therewith to an earth that is dead; in the beasts of all kinds that He scatters through the earth; in the change of the winds, and the clouds which they trail like their slaves between the sky and the earth; (here) indeed are signs for a people that are
