    We reprint the original version of the book “The teachings of Red Cloud” the Spirit Guide of Estelle Roberts, published in 1934 including some of the first conferences held by Red Cloud between 1930 and 1932 that have never been printed before.
    In 2015 we found the teachings of the guide spirit of Estelle Roberts collected in the famous book “Red Cloud Speaks – My mission” that includes part of the communications occurred from 1935 to 1938.
    In 2016, with our great pleasure, we bring to light one more piece of the teachings that Red Cloud has communicated through its medium Estelle Roberts for 50 years.
    Traces of all these teachings had been missing for a long time.
    Right because of the lack of historical information, we deem it appropriate to publish these rare documents just as we found them.
    These pages give the opportunity to broaden your knowledge of Red Cloud, the guide spirit who had announced to Maurice Barbanell the cooperation with Silver Birch.
    Red Cloud, like Silver Birch, pursued the mission of helping humanity to re-think, re-discover the idea of God in the full freedom of free will, trying to break the chains of dogmas or creeds.

    Yes, it is necessary to keep on spreading the teachings of Spiritualism, even in Italy.
    Throughout the centuries Spiritualism has always been hindered, yet, with diffrent definitions from the one we use today, it is the oldest movement known in the world; it is always the same force of the Spirit that is in operation.
    The philosophy of teachings like the ones you will find in this book, reveals a true knowledge of the concept of God, one that does not need intermediaries like churches or theology. It reveals the bond of mediumship with God; it brings back to us the instruments we need to reason on religiosity.
    The demonstration mediumship gives us that life is eternal, that the spirit and the soul are immortal, has the purpose of bringing us back to the authentic knowledge of God, as Jesus already did. But Jesus Christ’s teaching has been lost, in many of its aspects, by churches and by theology themselves. The teachings of Spiritualism lead us to understand why each form of mediumship is a sacred gift at God’s service, always, whose purpose is not only to prove us that life is eternal, but also to make us aware that everything is in communion with God; we are all part of the infinite Spirit of God.

      This little booklet is written for the stranger in the midst. It contains no scientific explanation of the spirit world and spirit communication. It is intended for the man or woman who has lost a dear one and is eagerly searching for comfort and help.

      The chapters have been dictated by a spirit known as Red Cloud, who lived on the earth not long before the Christian era.

      Red Cloud has been the guide of Mrs. Estelle Roberts for the last fourteen years; has addressed many, many thousands of people; comforted many hundreds of poor souls in distress, healed the sick, helped the poor, and generally proved his worth as a messenger of God.

      Red Cloud tries to make clear to you what Jesus meant when He said: when I go unto my Father I will send unto you the Comforter - the Spirit of Truth.

      Communication with the dead

      CHAPTER I

      There are many strangers amongst you who have never heard a guide from this world of spirit speak through the body of a person on this earth, and so to make it clear to you, I would explain the first thing we all have to learn is to fulfil the Laws of the Universe, the laws which cover not only the world of matter called earth, but the whole of the Universal Worlds of God. I am not a Christian, I am an Indian, but I teach through your Christianity because then you will understand more easily. Your teacher Jesus said unto you: I come to fulfil the law, and I, an Indian, fulfil the same laws - the laws of God which embrace all religions.

      Therefore, to continue with my explanation, one of the laws of your earth is that being in matter you must inherit a physical body, and to fulfil this law I, a spirit out of matter, borrow the body of this woman, with her full permission, and use it to speak to you from this world of spirit.

      It is quite a natural law, it is only the ignorance of Man that has made it appear unnatural, a law that has existed through the ages and is in obedience to the laws of God.

      Many people come to the séance room for knowledge of this truth, seeking the comforter; asking where has my dear one gone - seeking the touch of a vanished hand, and the sound of a voice that is still, and in your enthusiasm you often thwart your very heart’s desire. Therefore I will try to give you a few points on this subject to make you understand why communication with our world seems so difficult, and often is not accomplished satisfactorily.

      Communication means first of all with you in the physical body to approach a medium with an open mind. We do not object to you being critical in your examination, but take your mind back to the greatest medium within your knowledge - Jesus the Nazarene - even He was not believed; despite His knowledge the world destroyed Him.

      Then again you must take into consideration whether your dear ones in this world from whence I come desire to communicate with you. You may come to a medium with quite an open mind and ready to believe, in all sympathy with the medium, but, although this is not very often the case, your dear ones may not desire to communicate. This may not seem human, but although love, memory, affection persist after death to the physical body, physical ties are not in every case so binding, when the spirit becomes aware of the all-pervading love of God. You see in the world of spirit every man or woman has free will, just as you have on the earth, and although we in our desire to help you can describe your spirit friends to you, we cannot force them to speak to you, they are perfectly free to do so if they wish, but we cannot interfere with that free will which is every man’s inheritance.

      Then there are those in this world of spirit who fear that of which they have no knowledge, just as you fear the unknown on the earth, and when I have asked them the day before if they would like to communicate with their dear ones on the earth, by projecting themselves into space, out of sheer nervousness they say: no, we are too frightened.

      Then too, you should consider the evolution of the medium through whom you are communicating; always be tolerant towards them, theirs is no easy task; try to remember they are doing their best to help you, and perhaps part of their message is unintelligible to you, if this is so bear in mind they are but the telephone box for your spirit friends, they listen in to the spirit world, and as you know mistakes are often made when you listen in to a telephone on the earth.

      Try to liken mediums unto small rivers, wending their way through rocky paths, down valleys, into the mighty ocean, theirs may only be a little river but eventually it will make its way to the great and glorious ocean which is the mighty and wondrous knowledge of God.

      And so if you go to a medium, perhaps a frail woman, and your dear one comes through, perhaps a man, remember he is overcoming enormous difficulties in taking on this strange body to help you. Instantly you send out a thought of doubt that is not my dear one, he sounds strange. You seem to forget they are operating through a body perhaps after anything from six to ten years as you count space. They are trying, doing their best, why do you rebuff them?
