About this ebook

If you want a better experience of your menstrual cycle than the one you have, I believe you should have easy access to information that will help you reach your goal. That’s why I wrote Uncramp! Use the proven ideas and techniques in this book to liberate yourself from PMS, cramps, and other symptoms related to your menstrual cycle—and become more powerful, creative, insightful, and ethical.

"Your book for the most part made a lot of sense in light of my own research around pain and pain management. Uncramp is not just a look at how to deal with cramps, but how to deal with life as a woman, on the road to self acceptance and good health." — S.J.

What Does It Mean to Uncramp?

When a muscle cramps, it contracts, involuntarily, painfully. When I researched the history of the word cramp, I found it has a broader set of meanings that are relevant if you suffer during your cycle.

The word cramp can also mean “something that confines or hinders,” “bend or twist,” “compress forcibly” or “restrict.” We draw on this meaning of the word when we say things such as “That job cramps my style.”

The distinction between a cramp as something that a muscle does and a cramp as an outside force that causes discomfort is very important when it comes to uncramping.

I argue that when you experience cramps or other menstrual symptoms, the source of the problem is hardly ever in your uterus, reproductive system, hormones, or nerves. I suggest that your uterus is not “cramping,” but rather, something is cramping your uterus—compressing “her,” restricting “her,” bending or twisting “her.” Your uterus doesn’t like it, is right not to like it, and complains.

I view other menstrual cycle symptoms the same way, even though they might not involve muscle cramps.

How Can You Uncramp?

Think of menstrual symptoms as warning lights on the dashboard of your life—they’re telling you that something is cramping you, “bending you out of shape.”

You uncramp when you identify what the warning light is telling you and take steps to reduce the pressure. When you remove or lessen the "crampers" affecting you, your menstrual cycle no longer needs to show you warning lights. Symptoms and pain go away.

This book gives you proven information and tools for liberating yourself from your "crampers." What I share here has produced significant results for a high percentage (roughly 85 percent) of the women I've taught in person.

You’ll learn about common "crampers":

• inappropriate shame
• trying to "be a man" rather than equal to men
• unstable blood sugar levels
• believing you have "negative" emotions
• poisons in your surroundings
• ignoring your ethics in relation to your cycle
• not working with your cycle to increase your contributions to others
• stressful relationships

You'll also learn powerful techniques for identifying "crampers" unique to you. You will learn how to:

• dialogue with your uterus
• do simple hand movements that attune you to your deeper wisdom
• learn from all your emotions
• ask yourself effective questions
• organize your time to invite self-knowledge
• and more!

Finally, this book offers many basic tips for uncramping yourself. You'll come to understand why it can be helpful to:

• stabilize blood sugar
• avoid poisons in your surroundings
• write an "obituary list"
• carry a legally allowed defensive weapon
• commit to the next generation's uncramping
• and more!

Uncramping—Why Bother?

What happens when you uncramp? These are some of the things that have happened for me and many women I taught in person:

• pain and suffering decreases or goes away
• creativity and fulfilling productivity increase
• "flow" or "right rhythm" grows in one's life
• self-sabotage decreases
• beneficial altered states of mind and perception often become more frequent

Sibylle Preuschat

I'm Sibylle Preuschat and I believe that every woman who wants to have a better experience of her menstrual cycle should have easy access to the knowledge that will get her there. I experienced debilitating premenstrual and menstrual illness until I learned how to uncramp. After I figured out how to liberate myself from the pressures causing me to suffer, my menstrual cycles enriched my life, supporting my development into a more mature, powerful, and creative woman. I went on to teach other women how to uncramp for themselves. My ebook, Uncramp! Seven Liberating Secrets Every Menstruating Woman Needs to Know shares what I have learned. I intend this book to be of service to women around the world.
