When you can live healthy, why do you want to live unhealthy, sickly and worn-out? It is quite possible for all of us to make a move in the direction of being healthy as long as we live on this planet earth. To live a healthy life is a choice each one of us has to make. If we make a concrete and definite decision to live healthy and follow it through no matter what, we will be surprised at the turn around in the near future. Do not be intimated by what happened in the past; the present and the future offer open doors for a life-long healthy living. In my late sixties after a break-down of my health, I made a firm decision to live a healthy life-style. Within an year's time, it was quite possible for me to get a good handle of how to live a life without unnecessary sicknesses, pain and all associated consequences. Now in my eighties I have good health and no major health problems or sickness. If this was possible for me, it should also possible for you. Forget about being healthy by doctor-prescribed medications or unwittingly gulping in over-the-counter medications. They only make you more sick and lead to an unhealthy life-style. This book will give you enough information to lead a satisfying, fulfilling and enjoyable healthy life with all of its blessings. Do not be disheartened if you make little or no progress in the time period in which you expected results. Please stick to the principles to live healthy as described in this book and I assure you that you will come to enjoy good healthy life long enough. Diet and exercise play important roles in one's health, so also sleep and rest, habits, managing stress and a few other health matters which affect and contribute to our physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual health and vitality. This book deals will all of these health matters and gives good-to-implement sound suggestions. Make use of them and live a healthy, vibrant and blessed life.

INTRODUCTION
All of us do want to be healthy but don’t realize how simple and straightforward this could be. We all have experienced how simple things could be made complicated by taking wrong steps and getting into a maze. We get confused, baffled and come to our wit's end when things go wrong due to our wrong approach regarding our health. When people look great, healthy and attractive, they may really be rotting with some unidentifiable disease inside their bodies.
All right. What is then to be healthy and that too in a simple way. It is simple, but not simplistic, meaning this cannot be over simplified. Health is not given to any one of us on a platter. We have to work at it and that too on a regular basis, vigilantly watching for matters that will capsize our health-boat. Because this can be done, achieved and maintained, it is just a matter of getting into the groove of health-mindedness. This is not being selfish, as some may think. To be healthy not only helps you and me, but also paves a way to promote health by getting others interested. Why in the world would you live unhealthy or sickly?
Wise people live a healthy life, but too many far outweighing the healthy category live unhealthy and to this latter category this book is written.
There are a lot of ideas, diets and programs with health tips that are floating around to make a health-minded and searching person to get lost and in that attempt to just ignore health to the point of being a target to some unexpected sickness. If you are the one that I described trying to get a handle on living healthy, take heart. This book will give you relevant, dependable information to get healthy and remain so even in your old age. Even if you are in your sixties or seventies, there is hope to live a healthy life by taking care of a few important and not-to-be-ignored matters, which will certainly usher in a healthy life.
PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING
I’m in my eighties and I do enjoy healthy living. My healthy living started when I was in my late sixties.
In the beginning of year 2001 I had a stent put in my heart to rectify a blockage. With some medications added, I had a tough time for a few months. With a little determination, I opted for a healthy lifestyle, which has stood me in good stead all these years.
For the last 15 years I have not been experiencing common cough or cold. Before that every year I used to get cough, that too hoofing cough, every winter. That kind of cough wrecks you and would not allow to get a good night's sleep and even bother you in the mornings. To get rid of that was a good achievement, and on top of that I was able to travel abroad a few times without any health issues.
My energy level is quite good throughout the day. There is enough evidence that my immune system is operating at quite a good level. Before the change over I had problem to bend, walk fast or do any physical activity. Now I’m able to enjoy an active life-style. I
