()
About this ebook
This engaging summary presents an analysis of A Climate of Fear by Fred Vargas, the ninth novel featuring Commissaire Adamsberg. Two apparent suicides are linked by a mysterious symbol found near the bodies, drawing Adamsberg into an investigation involving a double murder committed in Iceland ten years earlier and a secretive association dedicated to reenacting the early days of the French Revolution. Through a gripping dual narrative, the novel raises unsettling questions about the rationale behind human choices and the influence our ancestors have on our behaviour. Fred Vargas is a French writer, historian and archaeologist who has written several cycles of detective novels. She has won a range of literary awards, both in France and abroad.
