    Chapter 1 – The Basics of Real Estate Rental

    Perhaps the fastest way to make money from investing in real estate is through renting out all or part of your property. To get people to patronize your business, you don’t need to come out with new products as soon as you run out of these nor do you have to exert a lot of effort to render the same service again and again. The key here is being able to provide a living space and making it habitable enough for long-term use.

    In providing the said space, you don’t have to shell out money repeatedly since it is a one-time investment. You don’t need to exert much effort, either, since the space will still be there no matter what you do. You invest additional money only rarely throughout the whole time that the business is in operation, and there is no need to always exert physical effort just to make the property habitable enough, especially if you were able to satisfy much of the prerequisites in the beginning. This is the essence of passive income, which should be one of your goals in running a real estate rental business.

    Passive income explained

    Passive income is basically money that is earned by an investor without investing more money or rendering additional work. Of course, it is considered passive income if the amount of money generated exceeds the total expenses. Although you may need to put in some muscle work from time to time, the physical effort you exert will be minor compared to any earnings generated. In fact, much of the physical effort required to keep the property in good condition will come from your tenants as they are the ones who are primarily responsible for taking care of the living space they rent from you.
