Tales From a Young Poet - Ridge S. Maurice
Ambitions
Another Realm
Laying down I dream of another realm
Praying for the fiends that are trapped in Hell
Where are the ones that I followed here?
Staying in the dark will they ever hear?
I stand and I look at the brighter side
Knowing that I am slow to bring up a smile
Though nothing will never stop my goal
Tormented souls are present in the globe
Forward thinking is required to rise
Surprised my eyes as I realise
There is but many tasks to complete
On this path of eternal masculinity
Why does it seem that being a man is a test?
Besting every puzzle that presents itself
I do not have the answers to these questions
Blessings are all I ask for from Heaven
Beyond Us
Wander rhyming
Playing the violin
Thin whispering
In the back of the Benz
Tears drop as they witness
Her lips lock
Tick tock, the clock goes off
I’m on to make a deal
Need for a quick meal
All I want to do is grab that steel
To kill whomever ruined the life
Thought she would be a wife
Living in strife and agony
Oh the tragedy
You can catch me
Thinking about the times
They almost died
Bottle After Bottle
Bottle after bottle, I’m facing these troubles
Mano a mano, my motto is simple
I Will Not Lose,
I always say
These days I’m just not feeling it
Although I need my love, I demeaned the trust
I pinch my skin, wishing this was a
