She studied drawing and design at Kent State University and received her MFA in painting from The George Washington University. Alexia was a Lecturer of Fine Arts at Georgetown University, teaching Drawing. Her work can be found at the Smithsonian Naturalist Center, The National Zoological Park and private collections.
