SnowflakesBorder2.jpgThis book would not have come about without the help of some pretty special people. First I would like to thank my mother, Marie McKenna for her everlasting encouragement to pursue a dream. To my brother, Dr. Brian Malloy and my sisters, Maureen O’Neill and Colleen O’Malley, you each know your role in this project, and a heart-felt thank you for everything.
I would further like to thank Holly Stabile for the introduction to the firm of Stocking Stuffer & Mistletoe, and to my friends Susan Butler, Krista Kochosky, Dr. Pat Riley, Many Emanzadeh, Robbie Matesic and Jenny Tighe Kohnfelder for their help, ideas and encouragement in bringing this story to completion. A special thanks to Illustrator, Jerry Sweeney for bringing Santa’s adventure to life. Also my wife Kathy for her help and for the TIME to research, find and write about Santa’s Secret.
Finally, to my daughters Kaitlyn and Kayla for possessing such a wonderful Christmas spirit which provided the inspiration for this story.
SnowflakesBorder2.jpgTo my fellow barristers… To fight for a cause defines us; but to be part of justice, gives us meaning.

Santa’s Secret
SnowflakesBorder2.jpgSanta has many secrets, that is a well known fact.
One secret that is difficult to understand is
Santa’s ability to travel the world in one night and deliver all those presents. The world is a very large place and our population increases by the day, yet Santa never fails to finish this enormous impossible task. Well, it was not always that easy for Santa. There was a time many years ago when he did not have enough TIME in one night and Christmas was almost lost to us forever. Girls and boys around the world must understand that it was Santa’s devotion to them and Christmas that saved this holiday. But how did he do it? There just isn’t enough TIME in one night, and therefore, there is no coincidence that it is TIME that holds Santa’s secret.
Prologue
SnowflakesBorder2.jpgOn Friday, March 27, 1964 at 5:36 p.m., the largest earthquake ever to hit North America struck a remote area of Prince William Sound in Alaska. The earthquake measured 9.2 on the Richter scale, caused tsunami size tidal waves and sent shockwaves for hundreds of miles. It caused severe destruction throughout the region, including buildings and homes located in Christmastown, a place close to Santa’s castle at the North Pole. Significant destruction occurred to a vacant old mansion, once owned by Thurgood Mistletoe, a world renowned barrister of the natural and supernatural courts. As legend has it, many years ago Barrister Mistletoe solved Santa’s problem of needing more TIME on Christmas Eve, and the solution has been kept secret over all these centuries.
Well, as the years went by, the Mistletoe family died off and the abandoned mansion fell into disrepair. The massive 1964 earthquake caused even more damage to the Mistletoe mansion, particularly to the basement. Recently, the mansion was purchased by Regis O’Reilly, a local historian and devoted Christmas buff. It was Christmas season just a few short years
