Meher Baba's Breaking of His Silence and Manifestation: A Theory About Living in His Manifestation
()
About this ebook
There were two significant Avataric responsibilities that were to be set in motion based on Baba leaving our physical presence. First, while still living; Meher Baba had promised us that he would 'break his silence' during his living lifetime. He had begun his silence on July 10,1925 and (as far as we know); he continued in that silence for the remainder of his life. Did he break that promise to us or did he actually break his silence while still living? The second responsibility is related to his Manifestation. With the dropping of his body; his Manifestation was set in motion. What specifically does that mean and how can we recognize his Manifestation, as it is being fulfilled?
This book develops a theory that says yes, Meher Baba did break his silence. This theory also provides a possible date for when this event did actually happen and provides insight into why most Baba followers are not aware of its actual occurrence. The book also presents a theory related to Meher Baba's Manifestation and discusses how this event is impacting and will continue to impact our lives and the lives of all humanity as we continue to live through this time of Meher Baba's Manifestation.
This book also discusses Baba's "Final Declaration". This document is central to understanding the Manifestation itself. Within its writing, it sets forth Baba's prediction as to what will be occurring over these next centuries. It also provides incite regarding the 'New Humanity'. The arrival of this new humanity will initiate a new direction and spirituality within all human life.

Meher Baba's Breaking of His Silence and Manifestation - R. William Davies
Chapter One
Author’s Note One: This Is a Theory
To begin: As the title states, this is a theory. There is really no way for us to truly know or understand all that is Meher Baba’s Manifestation. The complexity, the nuances, the totality of everything that has transpired and is transpiring through his manifestation goes beyond human comprehension.
The basis of the theory presented within this book is Meher Baba’s words and a healthy dose of intuitive deduction. The evidence presented is circumstantial. The purpose of this book is to inspire readers to test the ideas presented within this book with those ideas of their own. Together, through the thinking and discussion generated, we can develop a better theory. As Baba lovers and followers, it is essential that we develop an understanding of what Baba’s Manifestation is and how we can become full participants within it. Through our understanding and participation, we can become Baba’s instruments towards the fulfillment of his manifestation to all the world.
The Life and Responsibilities of the Avatar
Within the teachings and discourses that Meher Baba gave over his physical lifetime, he revealed more spiritual secrets to humanity than had ever been revealed before. Within those teachings, he talked extensively about the Avatar. He told us that the Avatar comes to us in cycles of every seven hundred to fourteen hundred years. These Avatars come into the world to provide new inspiration, redirection and revelation to a suffering humanity. Approximately two thousand years ago, Jesus Christ was the Avatar. Meher Baba was and is the Avatar of our time. Two thousand years from now, there will be a new Avatar, who will either be living or manifesting.
He also revealed to us that the Avatar is the God Man and has both aspects within his Nature. He carries within Himself the responsibilities for all humanity and the physical universe. The Avatar is both God and Man simultaneously. When we think about the Avatar, we are often drawn more closely to those aspects of his being that made him be the ‘Man’. As an example, in our remembrances of Meher Baba, we are often drawn to those human qualities that Baba so perfectly exhibited. In his relationship with the mandali and through the living of his life, Baba showed us the ’Man’ that he was. His humanity was fully portrait to us through all his human actions. There are many beautiful and wonderful stories about the ‘Man’ that was within Him. His compassion, love, understanding and wisdom shined out for all the world to see in all its glory.
We must be careful, however, that we don’t forget about the other part of what made Him the ‘God Man’. In every moment within his human life, in every moment since He dropped His Body; He was and is God. As we live through His manifestation, we must continually remember Him in this way. We must be fully conscious of everything that encompasses His Power and Glory. We must understand the full extent of His Compassion, Love, Understanding, Wisdom and the total Responsibility that Baba has towards all humanity and all life forms that exist within this universe. To appreciate and understand the significance of Meher Baba’s Breaking of His Silence and His Manifestation, we must become fully conscious of the majesty and the ‘Power of God’ that is Meher Baba. There is no other way to discuss the Breaking of His Silence and Manifestation without the knowing that He is God. (As an example of this Power, read the chapter: The Avatar’s Work Plan.)
None of this could or would have been able to happen without him being who He Is. He is the God Man and the Avatar of our Age. He is the Highest of the High. He is Infinite Knowledge, Infinite Power, Infinite Bliss and Infinite Being. He is all aspects of God in human form.
Readers’ Guide to the Text Used Within the Book
In presenting this theory, this book relies heavily on the words of Meher Baba, Bhau Kalchuri, Don Steven and others to support the concepts of this theory. To help the reader know when he is reading the author’s words or quoted words from other sources, they are presented in the following manner. When reading the words of the author, they will be written in this standard black text as written here.
When reading the quoted text from other sources (Meher Baba and others), they will be written in bold as written here.
Book Information and Foot Note Codes
These are the resource books and other materials that are the primary inspiration for the development of the theory presented within this book. They will be generously quoted throughout the book. The second column show the foot note codes that are assigned to each of them. These codes will be used to identify the books in the footnotes. This may be a good page to book mark.
Chapter Two
Prologue: Manyness or Oneness
We are living in Meher Baba’s Manifestation. The world order is about to change. The key factor driving this change is diversity. Over the course of human history, diversity has resulted in the rule of ‘manyness’. Diversity tells us that we are different from one another. These differences lead us to see one another with a separation between. This separation results in us becoming judgmental towards one another. These judgments have created a world where we see one another as being good or bad, friend or enemy, powerful or weak, and a thousand other comparisons. It has resulted in us fighting, hating and minimalizing the humanity of those that are different from us. It has filled our hearts with anger, hatred, prejudice and malice towards others.
This world is about to end. Meher Baba’s Manifestation has set in motion the coming of a New Humanity. The basis of this new human society will come through the rule of ‘oneness’. Oneness takes away the separation of diversity and brings it all under one umbrella. We are all one humanity living and sharing our world with one another. This requires us to become open-minded and respectful of others who look, think and act differently from ourselves. This oneness must be all inclusive.
As Baba Lovers, this coming battle is already arriving at our doorstep. Our first test will be in how we deal with the diversity within ourselves. Each of us has built a personal relationship with Baba that simultaneously is both shared and different. As our Baba community grows and as the passage of time further removes us from Baba’s direct living contact, this diversity will grow within us. The important issue for us, as Baba Lovers, is to bring our own diversity together under one Baba umbrella. We can easily turn on ourselves and break down into schism, separation and intolerance. If this occurs, ‘manyness’ wins. As Baba Lovers, we must remember that all paths lead to Baba. Some are fast and straight, some are slower and filled with many twists and turns, but all lead to Baba. When we allow ‘manyness’ into our hearts, it is only our sanskaras talking. Maya is playing its tricks upon us. Manyness is the illusion. We are all one.
The history of the religions that have grown out of the lives of our previous Avatars begins with the creation of their ‘holy scripture’. These are the official words of that Avatar and become the ‘Word of God’. Certain individuals will step forward and place interpretations upon these ‘words’ and will set forth religious practices, rituals, and moral codes that will govern the religion form. Once in place, it identifies those of the religions as ‘us’ and those outside the religion as the ‘others’. From there the ‘manyness’ game begins.
As Baba Lovers, we must keep an open mind and a tolerance towards change. During this period of Baba’s Manifestation, we must know that anything that happens anywhere has his hand upon it. All things good, bad or indifferent are his work. This work is leading us towards the coming of his ‘New Humanity’. Our responsibility as his lovers is to prepare for the ‘oneness’ that will bring all humanity together into his one.
Chapter Three
Sanskaras, Part One
Individual Sanskaras
The basis of all my explanations is sanskaras.
²
The root cause of all movement is the movement of sanskaras in the mind: it is the movement of sanskaras that causes thinking.
³
Who we are, what we do, what we believe – our entire perception of the world is shaped by our sanskaras. Sanskaras define our consciousness of all reality (gross world) and Reality (spiritual world). We cannot know, understand or be anything beyond what our consciousness allows us to be. Our jivatma (soul) is born and dies millions and millions of times through evolution, reincarnation and eventually involution. In each individual lifetime on that journey, our soul’s consciousness in that life was defined by the sanskaras that we carried during that lifetime. When we were a flower, we saw the world as a flower. When we were a fish, we saw the world as a fish in the great ocean. When we were a bear, we roamed through a great forest and saw the world as a bear. When we became human, we saw the world as a princess, a pauper, a warrior, an outlaw. In each case, this is who we became. Our sanskaras made us see the world through those eyes. When our souls become worthy to pass from reincarnation into involution, we will see the world (reality and Reality), through those eyes. This will become our consciousness.
Wherever we are on our own spiritual journey that is where our consciousness will be. We can’t remember or feel the consciousness from when we were a flower, or a fish, or a bear. We cannot know or feel the consciousness for who we will become in any future life.
Who we are and what we understand of this world (reality and Reality) is dictated by our own present consciousness of everything. That consciousness is shaped, revealed and limited by our own personal sanskaras; that we carry within ourselves during that lifetime. Our self-identification tells us who we are now, in this present moment. We are Joe or Bill or Mary or Susan or Tom or Linda. Or, these could have been the names that we were during our six previous lifetimes.
Sanskaras determine who we are and tells us what our consciousness is during any given moment. We are what our sanskaras tell us we are. Without sanskaras there would be no consciousness, there would be no mind. Sanskaras are the impressions for the mind to think, they are the impressions that consciousness is aware of. Sanskaras are the very means by which evolution evolves and involution convolutes. Sanskaric impressions are the product of Nothing.

Infinite Intelligence: Chart Introduction
To see the Light, the seeing should be through Darkness. To know Knowledge, the knowing should be through Ignorance. In other words, Darkness must be experienced to see Light, Ignorance must be known as Ignorance in order to know Knowledge.
⁵
There is a diagram shown on p. 72 in the book In God’s Hand and is discussed on p. 381-387 in the book Infinite Intelligence. This diagram (Figure One) is very instrumental towards explaining and understanding several different concepts that we will be discussing within this book. This is a visual rendering of your inner and outer selves. It summarizes Baba’s teachings related to how the different elements of what composes our ‘selves’ interrelate and function to both aid and hinder our spiritual journey through the universe.
When we look at this diagram, we must understand one thing from the very beginning. We are INFINITE INTELLIGENCE and we
