Originally from New York City, Youngcliff lives in Dade City, Florida now. He oil paints, draws, and exhibits for art galleries throughout his home state when not writing. Currently, he is working on a few fantasy ideas for teens. Tentatively scheduled to publish next year or sooner. Check for other titles now available.

Chapter 1
Free Candy
Let me see how best to start this story, oh, yes...
RUN! RUN! They’re coming! Everyone, hurry before they get us!
Cindy Sue yelled out. A gigantic dark gooey ball began chasing them ... wait, wait, wait a minute... oops, we’re moving too fast, and we’re getting ahead of our story. Let’s stop everything here. The ending to the story is so exciting to tell first that it might make anyone crazy crazed if we started there... And so, for those who get mixed up easily, sorry, we’ll start from the start, and start from the beginning we shall.
It began one Saturday afternoon: a million, billion, trillion years it seems. Really, it wasn’t that long ago, that an old man by the name of Jimmy Boyd, started telling stories to his grandkids of his tiny, tiny, tiniest of all pet turtle’s adventures, BluBerrie. In fact, as he recalled, the story began when he was a young boy, not much older than you.
Yes, it was on a Saturday, when Jimmy accepted an invitation for a playdate with Cindy Sue, a friend from school. And yes, it was in the afternoon, because they all skipped school the day before, to save BluBerrie from a scary, hairy, and green old alligator living in the pond. But that’s a different story, on a different day.
Today’s visit was exceptional. Cindy Sue invited all her girlfriends to visit her father’s old-fashioned candy-store to celebrate their previous adventure. She would give them a tour of his candy shop and enjoy all the free candy they could eat. Jimmy didn’t want to go, but the promise of a brown paper bag full of free candy was too much to turn down.
