The Search For Weird
'W eird' is subjective but unlike in our first encounter it is a notion that is subject to the context , that is to say, a thing which is so dubbed in one place may not be in another . Thus coming to a precising definition is simultaneously exact and inaccurate.
But in an attempt to have a beginning let us say that 'to be weird' can be defined as 'being uncommon' or 'contrary to the general consensus on what any given something should be'. Or perhaps it would be clearer to say that 'weird' is what is not the 'popular' of whatever is being discussed.
Of course that then devolves into establishing what 'popular' means, however as that is a completely separate —and likely lengthy discussion— let us then return to the first proposition and move on.
If 'weird' is the uncommon then we have an answer for 'what is weird' but not for 'how does one achieve it?'
It would sound a matter of 'going against the current', however, is it truly that simple?
I am sure many have an opinion on this matter but for the sake of discussion let us remember that 'weird' is subjective —and made more so by context— so in this instance we require a subject and a context for said person to
