About this ebook
This paper will review several physical implant attacks, including Direct Memory Access (DMA) implants, Human Interface Device (HID) spoofing implants, and EFI modification implants. We will examine the viability of each attack against modern (2013 and onwards) Macs, and a non-exhaustive selection of the mitigations available to prevent or respond to such attacks. We will close with an examination of potential future security trends relevant to physical implants.
