About this ebook

Aetina is the Greek Goddess of War, Darkness and Hate. She's the Daughter of Zeus and Nyx, the only problem is she is not one of the worshiped Gods. Not even among the minor ones. She was all but forgotten like many others that she has met over the course of the last three hundred and fifty years.

After talking to Sjorn, the Norse God of Pain and Fertility, she's finally talked into going to the New York offices of Mental Health where she meets Chi, the Chinese Goddess of Wisdom, another of the forgotten Gods.

Chi tells her of the Forgotten Gods Counseling Group and that many of them attend and join in. The number alone surprises Aetina and gives her the push she has needed to finally say that she'll gladly be a part of the group and see if it can help her.

Things almost instantly get a little weird though; Aphrodite wants her head on a platter and the Demi Gods are showing up everywhere.
But, even that's only the tip of the iceberg. Someone has decided to create havoc amongst the humans for forgetting them.

Now the God's are coming out to help and trying to stop the madness before it's too late.

If only Aetina could just get one day of peace…

The Forgotten Gods Counseling Group - Leah Diane

    Prologue

    Greece 184 A.D.

It had been dark that night, thundering and lightning, storming like mad. Nyx, The Goddess of the Night had argued with her brother Zeus and was thrown from Mount Olympus away from the other Gods. He was too fearful of her powers and what she could possibly do with them and he refused to let her be a part of the pantheon.

There'd been nights, many nights, when they had shared a bed as lovers before any of this happened. So many nights that she felt more than betrayed and embarrassed by him. Hatred flared through her veins and grew into a burning fiery ball that spread throughout her body until she was under its control.

Zeus, he had no right to do this to her! He had no right to speak to her like he had! She was his own flesh and blood, his sister, she had backed him up on everything and anything and she was always the first at his side, even before their brothers! How dare he?

Wild with her rage and the fear that she now felt, a new power began to surge through her until she was left standing from raw strength alone . She was left weak and crumbled to the ground only to realize why so much had been taken from her, and why suddenly she felt lighter... not as angry or hurt as she had been.

The ground had begun to split down the center in front of her, right where a bolt of lightning had hit it.

The bolt Zeus threw which had been intended to end her very life had missed by a fraction of an inch. A hand rose from the split Earth, and then another hand before the image of a woman came into view pulling herself from the ground. Standing in front of Nyx was her daughter, Aetina.

Aetina was fully grown and standing tall with her own powers helping to keep her head held high. She had a head of long dark brown hair and blazing electric blue eyes, brighter than her mother had ever seen, they were haunting to see. Nyx could see the anger that all but poured off of her flesh, out of every pore on her skin. The hate for Zeus, the thirst for revenge. She knew it, she knew why too and it was a thought she almost feared to have.

Zeus was her father, and the man who had damned both of them.

Days after her birth, Zeus caught word and went to Earth to beg Aetina to join him on Mount Olympus, to join the Pantheon with the other Gods and become one of the powerful twelve.

Her mother let her choose and Aetina chose wisely, she knew better than to make a rash decision and when she'd finally chosen she knew what she wanted and needed to do. She wasn't going to let him get away with harming her mother like he had. The best way to gain his trust and put a knife into his back was to get close to him, and that was exactly what she intended to do.

Before she left, her mother burned a black tattoo into the skin of her back so that she would always remember her, who she was and where she came from. This way even if she began to forget or let anything go to her head she would see the mark and remember.

Upon following Zeus to Mount Olympus she worked out her plan to kill Zeus in cold blood. It took her years to come up with a plan that wouldn't fail her and by the time she had finally figured out what she wanted to do, more Gods had appeared.

When she was finally ready to put the plan into action, Aphrodite the Goddess of Love and Beauty had been born and brought into Olympus as Zeus's prized possession. She was doted on constantly.

Aphrodite instantly hated Aetina and fought her for her seat on the Twelve Gods of Mount Olympus. Though the fight was short it was brutal, but neither had managed to do what they truly wanted... To kill the other.

Zeus had broken up their fight when they had come close to them wiping each other out of existence completely. Zeus had favored Aphrodite over Aetina since the day she'd arrived and due to his blindness for her faults he blamed Aetina for the entire ordeal and she was the one who had to take the brutal heat of it.

Giving Aphrodite the seat that Aetina had once kept, she was made one of the Twelve and Aetina was slowly forgotten
