About this ebook
During two failed marriages, two divorces, and the years in between, Jaysen True Blood wrote some amazing lyrics. Some described the pain of going through mental illness with a loved one, others expressed his anger and frustration. Still others were socially active or were written in hopes that he would create a band and go on the road.
Jaysen True Blood
Jaysen True Blood was born and raised in the Midwest where he currently resides. His first taste of writing came early in grade school with a class assignment. a few years later, his love for writing would return as he found himself with another class assignment, this time a poetry unit. through junior high, he would write a series of novels, many poems, and begin his long interest in writing song lyrics as well. In high school, he would learn the value of tall tales, myths and other kinds of stories as he continued to build his store of stories. upon graduation, he went for a semester at a university, where he would write two stories, one of which would become a serial online for about six months. Returning home, he worked at just about anything he could find, but never strayed far from his love of the story. After his first marriage, he signed on with Keep It Coming, an e-zine, where he wrote two serials, "Tales From The Renge" and "Breed's Command" (the same characters appear with Fancy Marsh in several subsequent westerns. The serial was taken from a manuscript written for a class assignment while in high school). H also wrote writing and music related articles for the print version of KIC that came out for just three issues. When KIC went under, Jay was once again forced to work at different jobs just to make ends meet. between 2007 and 2010, Jay would release "Seven By Jay: Seven Short Stories", "The Price Of Lust: Book One Of Faces In The Crowd" and "So Here's To Twilight And Other Poems".

Blood Stains - Jaysen True Blood
Notes
In this collection, I finally have more than one or two songs directed to my father. My anger, my frustration, and my longing to have a normal relationship with the man drove many of my lyrics both early on and up until his death in 2012. His narcissism and complete disdain for me made life hard. Almost unbearable.
And his narcissism was driven by his religiosity. His total radical view of religion. This religiosity drove me further and further from organized religion. It also drove a wedge between us.
The only thing he loved more than religion was work. Indeed, he was a workaholic. But by the end, he could no longer work. He had worn his body out before he was of age to retire and had little to show for it. It was almost as if he had two religions: his brand of ‘Christianity’ and work. And we all know that a man cannot serve two masters.
It was no secret that I was unplanned, at least by him. My mother was, I guess, supposed to be a one night stand and nothing more. But I entered the picture and he thought he had to marry her. They married, but not for love. And he let me know it in many not-so-subtle ways.
Even at the end, he refused to bury the hatchet. It was as if his grudges drove him. But, then, in the end, he had driven himself mad with his religion and his bitterness. His lack of ability to forgive.
The breakup lyrics contained are still addressed to my first wife. But, again, my social conscience returned and I began exploring. My sense of humor, however complex and often misunderstood, also returned. Not all the songs herein are serious. Not all are rooted in my struggles. But all have significance. And all are complex. A bit more complex than those that came before either in imagery or in meaning.
My first wife showed me that not everyone is mature enough to handle their own problems or even to be in a serious relationship. I spent five years divided between being on the street and being in the home, none of it because of anything I actually did. I was never an abusive person. Yes, I could be an ass hole at times, but I was never violent.
By the end of the marriage, Lori had checked out of reality because of all the pressure placed upon her by her family...and the stillbirth of our only child. She had cheated on me with my then best friend and that also probably added to the things
