    Introducing Behold The Dreamers

    B

EHOLD THE DREAMERS IS THE CRITICALLY-ACCLAIMED debut novel by Imbolo Mbue which tells the story of how two couples--one immigrant, the other American-- strive for the good life but the economy collapses and both couples go through dramatic consequences. Set during the financial crash in 2008, Mbue’s fast-paced, character-driven narrative impressed critics for its well-crafted plot and timely theme. It comes at a time when America is going through unrest and division as it tackles the controversial issue of immigration. The novel won the 2017 PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction, named One of the Notable Books of 2017 by The New York Times and The Washington Post, and was selected by Oprah Winfrey for her 2017 Oprah’s Book Club
