About this ebook

Don't miss the hot new romantic comedy follow-up to the smash hit The Negotiator...

Hot, filthy rich, and usually irresistible, Hudson Carlyle just met the one woman in Harbor City who’s immune to his legendary charm. Nerdy ant researcher Felicia Hartigan is the unsexiest dresser ever. She trips over air. And she’s in love with totally the wrong man. Hudson can’t stop thinking about her.

His regular moves won’t work here. He’s going to need a new plan, starting with helping her win over the man she thinks she wants. And if in the process she ends up falling for Hudson instead? Even better. Step one, charm her panties off. Step two, repeat step one as frequently as possible.

But what if the famous Carlyle charm finally fails him when he needs it most? Or worse, what if she figures out the one secret he’s kept from everyone, including his family, and walks away for good?

Author

Avery Flynn

Avery Flynn is a USA Today bestselling romance author. She has three slightly-wild children, loves a hockey-addicted husband and is desperately hoping someone invents the coffee IV drip. She was a reader before she was a writer and hopes to always be both. She loves to write about smartass alpha heroes who are as good with a quip as they are with their *ahem* other God-given talents. Her heroines are feisty, fierce and fantastic. Brainy and brave, these ladies know how to stand on their own two feet and knock the bad guys off theirs.

Received an ARC for my fair review for netgalley. I love Avery Flynn, but this one was not my favorite. Now don't get me wrong, I did enjoy, and I loved to hear about Sawyer and Clover, and how their relationship progressed. Hudson, is Sawyer's brother and he is living a doubly life. In one of their society outings, he is intrigued by Felicia, who is a total nerd, dressed horribly and totally infatuated with Tyler, who has an on again, off again history with Sawyer. Hudson, sets out to help Felicia capture Tyler's eye, and at the same time try and get Sawyer and Tyler to mend their friendship. However, things change, and they fall in love. What annoyed me, was that they should have just admitted their feelings, instead of acting like children. But, it does get resolved, and I am hoping for Tyler's story.

This book is the perfect example of everything naughty and nice, with sugar and spice. Felicia is the adorkable ant scientist and Hudson is the playboy millionaire who leads a secret double life. Under the premise of helping each other out, they develop a relationship that is quirky, fun and of course steamy. Neither can hide their true self in front of the other but still, end up fooling themselves and figuring out the truth about their feelings after making a big mess of thongs ahem I mean things. I read this book twice which is rare and I had, even more, fun in the second read through. The snarky banter will have you giggling or laughing out loud through most of the book and yep you will be wiping a sweaty brow a couple of times because these two are off the charts. The Charmer (A Hot Romantic Comedy) (Harbor City) by Avery FlynHudson Carlyle and Felicia Hartigan's story.Fun Wow! Anothe. The author delivered an entertaining, funny, and hot read!Felicia is nerdy and brilliant. She loves planning and being organized. Hudson appears to be the rich pampered boy. There is more to Hudson than he lets everyone see. Hudson and Felicia are opposites but they are perfect for one another but will they take a chance on love? I really loved the characters. Hudson is such a "charmer". I enjoyed Hudson and Felicia's story. This was a fantastic book. This is book number two in the Harbor City series. This book can be read as a standalone. But if you haven't read book number one, The Negotiator, you will want to. It was really great too. FYI, contains mature and graphic content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I could not finish. For two smart people they are very stupid. And the "banter" between them fell flat a lot of the time. A shame really, Hudson was one of my fav characters in the other books.

Definitely not my favorite! The Negotiator was better, but the Hartigan series are my go-tos with Avery Flynn. I had been looking forward to reading this book since I read Butterface. (I then read Muffin Top, Tomboy, Parental Guidance, Awk-Weird, and The Negotiator before finally getting here!) Sadly, it was a big disappointment. Heroine is too easily manipulated. Hero is a covert narcissist who shouldn't people at all. Bad story line. Never felt like they actually connected. Just lots of sex. No real communication, yet we are to believe they just magically fell in love? Nope. Not real. Seriously, don't bother with it. It doesn't take away from the others. I wish I hadn't read it. I would have a better view of them from the other books if I did.
