    Dedication

I dedicate this book to my wife, Rokanane Dorah Molefe, my daughter, Mpho (Gift from God), my son, Oreneetse (Given), my daughter, Kelegopotse (Memento), and our last-born daughter, Oreeditse (God Listen). These people are my pillars of strength in all challenges. I have lived a life of rejection, where I was rejected by my siblings, but they unlocked my life.

    Acknowledgements

My special thanks to the late Dr Tselane for the special role he played in my personal development; he unlocked my abundant life. I received substantial amounts of help for my ministry and multicultural studies from Dr Amos Sekhaolela; thank you for enlightening me. My younger sisters, Tlalane and Lillian, not forgetting our brothers, Peter and Samuel; you are always there for all of our children.

    Unlocking a Locked Life

I started training cross country students in 2015 for 2016 championships. They were supposed to compete with other schools from ward level to national level. The challenge with my students was that they were performing well only if we were competing with blacks; other races failed to make it possible. I found out that my students were afraid of whites; they were once told that whites are the best athletes ever in the world. I have made them realise that, for each and every athlete to be good, he must train enough. You don’t win in a marathon because of colour and other things. Their minds began to be unlocked; they started training harder. The environment wanted to contain them like pets inside a yard, but I wanted to enlarge their minds and break up their low level of thinking so as to reach new possibilities.

If you think that you can’t do it, then you will never do it. You are containing yourself in a life of not being possible; your mind will always be informed by your actions.

There are students there who are saying ‘I cannot be an engineer’, ‘I cannot be a doctor’ or ‘I cannot be a lawyer’. Yes, it is true, as long you don’t believe it, you cannot achieve it. However, if you inform your mind that you are capable of doing this, it is possible; you will do it.

I am talking to billboard thinkers. I am talking to multi-level thinkers. I am talking to the people who are able to see its existence before its existence; people who can imagine what is not there.

Allow me to talk to the person who is saying ‘it is possible, Mama’, ‘it is possible, Daddy’ and ‘it will be possible, my teacher’. Committing yourself to the world of possibilities will unlock your locked life.

The fight is in your mind. Once you lose the fight in your mind, it is over for you. Winning the battles in your mind will give you a huge advantage. Thinking wrongly will always put our minds in prison. We need positive thoughts of hope, faith and victory to unlock our minds. Unlocking our minds is to remove all the barriers to prosperity in life. Unlocking a locked life.

Consider this level of thinking, the foundation itself: ‘taught’.

‘Taught’ goes with all five senses, meaning that whatever you see can challenge you mentally, and whatever you touch or smell will challenge you mentally.

Moving on to another level of thinking is where you will consider an ‘idea’.

Idea – something you have been taught. If a person says ‘I’ve got an idea’, it means the person was thinking of something and he already convinced himself that he can do it and asked how he will do it.

Sometimes we just lock our life, but, having our own minds, why should a woman continue to stay with a husband who is beating her every week? Just tell him ‘that was your last time beating me’ and move on, move away from him. Pack your bags and go. You don’t need the media to inform you that someone is beating you. Come on, you don’t feel it? Do you need sixteen days of activism against abuse of children and women for you to decide? Make a decision about your life.

There is a need for you to go to another level. There is no need for you to say ‘I will call my parents and his parents to come and reconcile us’ – you are wasting your time; the man will kill you before their arrival.

Ideology is not applicable; there is nothing to study here. He was beating you with the intention of causing bodily harm and what will be the results?

Locking your life is very easy, but unlocking is only possible when considering all levels of thinking. Remember: a theory is an idea that someone suggests to explain something. Stop keeping quiet; talk to other people so you will be able to move to another level in life. Remember, those who talk to others gain a lot and are able to come up with new ideas.

Don’t be quickly discouraged by the word ‘NO’; sometimes rejection is a guide for redirection.

Many people realised that prosperity became a major problem in their life. They feel bad looking at those around them being successful. The reality is that their potential life is locked. There are many who have been looking for a job for years, knocking at the gates of employment, but no one is opening for them. In some instances, you find a beautiful woman who was created with the art of Heaven without a husband. Only to find that there is no man who wants to commit his life to a woman. Some of our students completed Grade Twelve with distinctions, but all universities and bursaries don’t accept them; years and years are passing. It is true that each and every person has an assignment to accomplish. How can one unlock a locked life?

"Be an encourager. The world has plenty of critics."

    Unknown Writer

I would like us to consider the life of students who fail to achieve due to failure to listen to parents. I am talking to those boys and girls who concentrate more on money than on their future. Life can be locked in many ways. Sometimes you find that the name that was given to you to determine the life you have to live or culture takes you away from your dreams. Your life is locked due to the conditions that were put before you. For example: for you to be appointed, you need to train as an inyanga or sangoma (traditional healer, witchdoctor); otherwise, your life is locked.

"Difficult doesn’t mean impossible; it simply means that you have to work hard."
