LEGACIES DON’T GENERALLY COME WITH THE privilege of immediacy, but the cars created through Joel Rosen’s Motion Performance were legendary in their own time. Whether through the Baldwin-Motion alliance that produced some of the boldest and quickest dealer-backed muscle cars of the era, or the separate creations Motion built for other customers, the company’s performance was renowned for delivering exactly as promised. In fact, Rosen famously guaranteed the Baldwin-Motion Phase III Supercars to run the quarter-mile in 11.50 seconds at 120 mph — at a minimum.

He wasn’t subtle and neither were his cars, but there was no bloviating in his audacious claims. His cars were truly quick, and reliably so.
