1 TREASURED MEMORIES //
I have been a Girl Scout since I was 7 years old, back when my mom would come to my first-grade classroom, teach us crafts and feed us Goldfish crackers. Like many little girls, I didn’t take Girl Scouts seriously.
Until the fourth grade.
That’s when I started my Bronze Award. My troop and I decided to focus on girls bringing reusable towels to camp instead of wasting hundreds of paper towels each year.
Then, in the seventh grade I earned my Silver Award by creating an “adopt an elder” program, in which a troop of girls would write letters to an elderly person at a retirement home. This was what first sparked my interest in
