Pit Bull 101: How to Get, Raise, Train, Love, and Take Care of Pit Bulls

About this ebook
“Pit Bull 101” traces the loveable Pitbull from its historic ancestry to today. The dog’s pedigree, genealogy, and temperament are illustrated. Pitbulls have been the subject of adverse legislation illegal operations, and public disquiet. By learning about the Pitbull, you will find that they are not dangerous, vicious, or difficult to train.
Pitbulls have a varied history. They are not fighting dogs but rescue dogs, police dogs, dogs used for care, and support dogs. They will love you, unconditionally and be your most loyal friend.
At one time in America’s history, Pitbulls were known as America’s dog. They were on war posters for WWI and WWII, the face of Buster Brown shoes, and known as nanny dogs. You have seen the Pitbull running with the Little Rascals and as a part of Rachael Ray’s dog food commercial.
The Pitbulls reputation was horribly damaged by magazine articles, media prejudice, and the story of Michael Vick and his dogfighting project. Yet, these dogs that were horribly abused and tortured became happy and loving family pets and mascots. The Michael Vick tragedy changed the face of dog rescue. Fighting dogs are no longer indiscriminately “put down.”
The care and feeding of a Pitbull are outlined in the book. These same training techniques, feeding, and scheduling tips can be used for any dog, and if you are diligent and consistent, these tips will provide you with a Pitbull who will outlive any other breed.
Now there are rescue societies and groups who understand what a Pitbull is, and they are working diligently to repair this breed’s reputation. Own a Pitbull, and you will find that they are awesome dogs.

Introduction
Looking for a Pitbull? You will find them sleeping in a sunny spot on your rug or laying in your favorite chair. Warning! Pitbulls are loving, caring, family dogs, and think they are lap dogs. They will love you unconditionally, be your lifelong companion, and keep you entertained.
Yet, no other dog breed has been so severely maligned than the Pitbull. The history of the Pitbull is ancient, and research has proved that few other dog breed are so loving and family oriented., and very few other breeds or mixed breeds of dog will be so loving and family-oriented.
Pitbulls are the best dogs for smart people. They are intelligent, super-loyal, loving, and have huge amounts of energy. Breeders and Pitbull lovers claim that you’d be hard-pressed to find another dog breed with more raw athletic ability.
Pitbulls can be thick-headed and somewhat stubborn and they do require the attention of a determined owner who is patient and trains their Pitbull well. The rewards of owning and training a Pitbull are many and well worth the effort you put into your dog. Train you Pitbull well, love and reward them, and when you look into their eyes, you will be lost.
You hear many horror stories about Pitbulls from the people love to kick Pitbulls under the bus. Even the media gets excited about reporting on Pitbull attacks, bites, and fights, and your landlord may not let your Pitbull come home with you. Fact: A Pitbull is no more dangerous than your friendly Golden Retriever and much less dangerous than a feisty Pekinese.
Although the American Kennel Club does not recognize the Pitbull breed, other prominent clubs like the United Kennel Club and American Dog Breeders Association recognize the Pitbull as a viable group.
When you think about it, however, do
