SWEET LIKE CHOCOLATE!

Jumping out of the car, my eight-year-old daughter Stevee raced into the house.

It was August last year, and, just home from school, she was eager to spend the afternoon with our beloved dogs – Mary-Jane (who we called MJ), and Keith.

As I followed her in and locked the door behind me, I expected the pair of them to come bounding over as they usually did, ready for cuddles.

But now, there was no sign of them anywhere.

‘MJ! Keith!’ Stevee called, wandering through the house.

‘Perhaps they’re out in the garden?’ I said, walking towards the back door.

Just then, peering out the living room window, something caught my eye.
