AFTER THREE MONTHS OF LOCKDOWN THE DUCHESS IS BACK KATE AND OTHER SENIOR ROYALS RETURN TO THE SPOTLIGHT

THE DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE

‘It’s so important now, as things start to ease, people know they can go out and particularly to places like this’ The Duchess of Cambridge

The royal family got back to business last week, carrying out their first face-to-face engagements since lockdown began.

Following on from the Queen’s public appearance at her Birthday Parade, other senior royals stepped out to show their support for local businesses, charities and the military.

The Duchess of Cambridge was in her element as she surprised customers at Fakenham Garden Centre, near her Anmer Hall home in Norfolk. It was her first official appearance out in public since 20 March.

As the Duchess shopped for seeds and plants for her children, she revealed how Prince George, six, Princess Charlotte, five, and two-year-old Prince Louis love visiting gardening shops.

She told owners Martin and Jennie Turner: “They love it. It’s such a great space for children and families to come to garden centres.”

The Duchess said George loves playing with venus flytrap plants and that he and his siblings have been growing tomato plants at home.

“They were very excited to grow them from seeds and now they’re as tall as them,” she added.
