CAPTURING THE CASTLE

January doesn’t always showcase Scotland at its best, but when Steph and Simon decided to do a post-Christmas road trip they found themselves smitten with the Scottish landscape and lifestyle.

The couple met while working in Dubai, and planning holidays instantly became a key factor in their relationship. Steph is from Newcastle and Simon hails from Australia, and neither had ever been to Scotland’s West Coast. ‘We decided to spend Christmas with my family in Birmingham,’ Steph recalls, ‘head to Newcastle for New Year and then do a road trip around Scotland in January.’
